famous American wizard know for founding 10,000 magical origami techniques, including 2D and 3D modular methods. He was a ventriloquist, an accomplished wizard, and a great chess player. However, his genius in creating puzzles was often his greatest flaw, as he found complex and often overly difficult ways of solving problems, rather than sticking to simpler and neater solutions, he often defeated himself at his own endeavors. He was also a proficient liar.

Magical folk tend to mention Sam Loyd, when someone overcomes or replicates one of his puzzles, or something particularly difficult and complicated, with a practical solution, and refer to it as overcoming Loyd's Labyrinth Whether or not such a labyrinth exists still remains to be known.
