Rose is a determined young woman to see herself achieve, thus pushing herself hard with that hard exterior which contains a far softer version of her inside should anyone try to reach in. Blunt, sometimes to the point of rudeness, to those she keeps at a distance but gentle and caring for those who call her "friend" (and mean it), she's just a young woman who wants to feel that she's as talented as everyone else around her.
