Irish-born Richard Burke is a criminal involved in the Runespoor Smuggling ring. He was responsible for the murder of Auror Tait Aldridge in 1994, though he was never linked to the crime. After Aldridge's death, he left the United Kingdom and plied his trade in Africa and the Middle East. Burke returned to the UK in late 2008 in hopes of expanding his empire there once more.
