Super Mom and Wifey, Ramona Flickwick has it all and tries to do it all for everyone around her. As dedicated to her work as she is her family, this Senior Werewolf Liaison has some trouble separating the two. She cares for each Were she's put in charge of like they're her own babies. She's trying to effect change from the inside of the Ministry out.
She was killed by a werewolf on 2009-03-11, mother of Sophie Flickwick, Emily Flickwick, John Flickwick and Ruby Flickwick.
History
Born in 1970, Ramona Flickick (nee Ramos) is the second oldest of four children raised by muggle parents in the Bronx. Her mother Maria was a social worker with the city for thirty years and her father Caesar still runs the family garage with the oldest son Oscar. Her two younger siblings Alphonz and Rosalina also happened to be magical. At eleven she was enrolled in S.W.I.M. and spent the next seven years busting her backside in the hopes of coming to the UK to work with the Ministry on Werewolf Rights. She has always believed in equality for all magical beings.
At nineteen she came to the UK in a typical exchange program and began a low level job at the Ministry in the Werewolf Registration office. About six months into her year long stay she met and was subsequently puked on someone that would change her life. Duncan Flickwick was playing a pub in Hogsmeade that fateful night, and per usual at that point in time he was six sheets to the wind. In trying to woo the fair American Lass he made a complete ass of himself - which she has never let him forget. Of course in the end he won her over and they’ve been together for almost twenty years.
It was inevitable that they would get married, perhaps, but the bundle of joy known as their first child hastened the nuptials. Luckily both were in agreement about wanting children, and indeed, wanting lots of children. Within two years she was pregnant again with their first daughter Ruby. Shortly before then, however, Ramona’s little brother Alphonz and his witchy girlfriend found themselves in trouble. As the oldest daughter Ramona was quite used to bailing Alphie out. She spent most of her teenage years doing it. So there was no question, given her love of children, that she and Duncan would take baby Ember. It just became more complicated when they found out Ruby was on the way too.
After complications with two failed pregnancies Ramona and Duncan had resigned themselves to the fact that more children simply weren’t in there future. Ramona became a naturalized citizen of the UK, and was progressing up the ladder in the Werewolf Liaison office. It was quite shocking for her to then find herself pregnant with Sophie - out of the blue, her favorite little surprise. She is aware Sophie thinks of herself as an accident but maintains it couldn’t be further from the truth. Ramona always wanted more children, and by some miracle she was given another dark haired brown eyes baby girl. Being a mother has always been Mona’s greatest joy.
Life passed quietly for the growing family, the kids went off to Hogwarts one by one, Ramona earned promotion after promotion and is now one of the senior liaisons. She is passionate about her job and keeping her marriage alive. The Flickwicks have hair their share of rough patches, they don’t always agree on the best way to raise their children - but they agree on the big things… and have come to the conclusion that everything else will work itself out. There is not fight too big to forgive, not hurt too important to let fester. She is as in love with Duncan now as she was when she first fell for him, and maintains he isn’t just her husband he’s her best friend.
