After discovering that Robin Adani is really his son, Cináed Tawse hatches a plan to get him back. But though the kidnapping is successful, Robin's adopted mother, Aberdeen Spencer, is determined to rescue her son no matter what the cost.

Auror Aberdeen Spencer spends a moment with her new partner, Adon Eleor. Despite her nervousness and overprotectiveness of her adopted son, Robin, she bemusedly agrees to let Adon accompany them to the London Zoo the next day.

She had never wanted to become an overprotective mother, and she still tried not to be in a lot of the small ways (not feeding too much sugar to a two-year old wasn't over protective, after all, it was practical!), but in all the ways that really counted, she knew she was. And somewhere deep inside she couldn't help but wonder, even if the murderer of Robin's biological mother had been caught and brought to justice, put away where he could never hurt Robin, if she would still be the mother who always held her son as if afraid someone would take him away from her.Aberdeen Spencer

As part of his plot to assassinate Gawain Robards, Cináed Tawse impersonates a Muggle pediatrician. When Aberdeen Spencer brings her adopted son Robin in for his regular check-up, Tawse puts her under the Imperious curse. In the process, he discovers that Robin is actually his son by the deceased Margo Valdean, whom Tawse murdered years ago.

The night before he plans to have Spencer murder Gawain Robards, Cináed Tawse discusses the future of the Wizarding Blood Alliance with one of his barmaids, Iza Franti. Over the course of the conversation, he tells her about the existence of his son and the two begin to raise the idea of what to do with Robin in the future to ensure that he as raised as a proper Tawse.

With the information from Jonas and the assistance of Christian Colburn, Liadán Ó Móráin kidnaps Robin Adani and brings him to the Black Chimaera, where she delivers him to his father, Cináed Tawse. When it appears that Cináed is a bit out of his league in child care, she offers further assistance as well.

With a cryptic letter in hand from Anna Tawse, Cináed's mother, and the information turned over by Jonas, Tamis Raynor travels to the Tawse home in Scotland. Though Anna tries to turn over Robin to her niece, she is foiled when her son bursts into the scene. Tipped off by a spy in the Auror Office, Cináed Tawse attacks Raynor and manages to pass Robin through the Floo in the fireplace, sending him to allies waiting at the Black Chimaera. He is finally driven away by the arrival of Archer Radley, Adon Eleor, and Jonas Trevelyan, who are left to deal with two victims in a burning house.

Aberdeen asks him to assist in finding her son; Jonas agrees, but only so long as Tamis Raynor gives permission for him to get involved on an MLE investigation.
