Cináed Tawse was recently out of Azkaban when he started sleeping with Daily Prophet Reporter Niobe Thursby. The affair lasted only a month and a half. Niobe felt very dangerous indeed. Both parties got their thrills. That is until Cináed got violent and Niobe started trying to get him thrown back in prison. Now they hate each other with acid lethality.

Cináed Tawse is just out of Azkaban and his dangerous reputation and long beard attract the gutsy Niobe Thursby. The two have a month and a half long affair.

Cináed Tawse is one of Tamis Raynor's top suspects in the Remembering Day Murders, as well as any connection to the fugitive Kyle Gibson. She arrives at The Black Chimaera early in a surprise inspection afforded her because she is his probation officer. Outside, Niobe is digging deep for new leads and thinks she has a gem in Cináed. However, when Raynor leaves, Niobe is caught red-handed. Cináed nearly strangles her, threatening to kill her unless she stays away for good. He takes her Extendable Ears and her notes.
Morning Inspection

"Cináed sidestepped, at the same time blocking Niobe's attempts to slip past him and closing the distance between them once more. Swiftly, and with obviously practiced accuracy, his fingers reaching out to close around her throat, to pin her back against the wall, finally fulfilling the desire they'd held the entire time he'd had to look at that Auror hag. His other hand reached for the bag. Which hand would succeed in fulfilling its wish to constrict successfully would be, entirely, up to Niobe.
