Figaro thoughtlessly lets it slip to the entire school that Zel Trumble is a werewolf. His punishment is to be magically silenced for a week.
Figaro's mouth has finally done him in, and his Head of House, Leopold Sandusky has no choice but to show the lad what life is like when one can only listen. Figaro goes the week of October 23, 2009 to October 28 without any voice what-so-ever. During that hateful week, he learns more than he would have expected.
Less than a month after being held to keeping a secret, Figaro lets it loose in front of the whole school at dinner in the Great Hall: Zel Trumble is a werewolf. What ensues is a fight, mostly between the members of Hufflepuff House, with interventions from Gryffindors and Ravenclaws. Before the fight breaks up there are broken noses, Jelly Legs Jinxes, a rogue enchanted apple, and a fork sticking out of a leg. Professor Hagrid and Professor Sandusky break things up, but it's far from over.
Because of this incident, many students receive detentions, and the fate of SAWS hangs in Headmaster Reid's hands. And Hufflepuff suffers dearly in terms of House Points.

Over the course of a few days, Figaro and Fauna write back and forth. Figaro reveals his part in the fracas and Fauna, who's off at Auror training, lets him know how disappointed she is.
Figaro seeks out Sophie to apologize, having to deliver his message via chalkboard. It doesn't go great at first, but they end up putting their heads together with some ideas on how to help SAWS including new people to recruit, like Xavier Tawse and Raine Almasy. And they kiss even though they're broken up.
Figaro comes upon Alexia in a bikini swimming in the boat house. They flirt and he kisses her, just one day after kissing his ex Sophie Flickwick. Awkwardly, it turns out she was just flirting and is gay.
Professor Reid takes her NEWT-level Ancient Runes class to Gringotts bank. Among other things, this is one of the classes Figaro Sellaphix attends while silenced.
Figaro, still silenced, and Kiba are making stinkbombs in the girls bathroom toilet. They are, of course, found by the girls just before the toilet explodes. Professor Sandusky intervenes.
