Phema lived on two things during her time at Hogwarts - gossip and sneaking into the kitchens. But her gossip were never the juiciest, and being a Gryffindor it took her five years to figure out how to get into the kitchens. Upon her graduation she took an internship at the Daily Prophet, wishing to become their new columnist. Unfortunately another girl from her year got the same internship - Rita Skeeter. After two years of finally being outshone by Skeeter, Phema took employment at the Leaky Cauldron where she’s been ever since.
Phema is a stout woman, with jet-black hair that can be best likened to a birdsnest. People would describe her as nice, but a bit too invasive for her own good. She always tries to give the regulars the latest dirt - but it almost always seems to be quite insignificant gossip.
