An American witch, Penny Lane Darling served as Hogwarts' Professor of Potions near the end of 2008. Penny is a rather cheerful and enthusiastic character who bounces around the world trying to enjoy her life and have fun. She puts forth a tremendous amount of effort into the goals she wants to achieve and only a sufficient amount towards everything else. Relationships are not her strong suit (she can often come across as nosey, obnoxious, and unprofessional), but being a silly, fun-loving witch happens to be the thing she's best at--other than memorizing plants and potions.
