Appearance
A tall, pale witch with dark hair and a steady, impenetrable stare.
More than once, Olivia has been likened to a living statue – which, while far from a favorable impression, is nonetheless an accurate one; she isn’t very emotional or demonstrative either, and there is little to suggest otherwise. Her looks are often subtle shifts in expression, and as such, hard to distinguish, much less notice; a tight rein on her temper leaves her without a frown or blush, the smooth planes of her face undisturbed. She smiles easily enough, but unless the source of it is a small child, a new tool or a good friend, it rarely reaches her eyes.
As far as clothing goes, Olivia prefers not black, but quiet colors, though she certainly owns her fair share of leather boots, jackets, and even the occasional tube of lipstick. At work her attire is modest but sleek, enough to appear put together without being conspicuous; pencil skirts and turtlenecks are the usual. Hair is pulled back into a smooth chignon bun, and thick black rim glasses are often perched on top of a long and delicately bumpy nose.
Her heels, however, are practically certified weapons themselves.
Personality
Quietly judgmental, Olivia is more polite than a lot of the Carstairs, but high standards and a cynical nature leave her more than aware of one's failings. She is very good at leaving the impression afterwards that she insulted you, but you were too stupid to understand.
Family
Olivia bears little love for most if not all of her relatives, but for those she does, she cares a great deal. Despite the age gap she is fond of her cousins Alex and Virgil.
Still, out of everyone she is closest to her brother Tristan, a male escort and the family black sheep. She respects her mother a great deal and is the apple of their father's eye, but the former has never really been one for affection and the latter's strained relationship with Tristan is a constant source of tension.
Olivia's French relatives, the Bouchards, are part of the aristocracy.
