Muggle Studies is an Elective course that students can choose to begin taking upon reaching their Third Year at Hogwarts. It attempts to teach wizarding children about the muggle world and may teach them how to blend in. Needless to say, it is not a popular subject among purists; during the Second Wizarding War the professor was murdered by Lord Voldemort.
Its tone can vary greatly - as can its effectiveness - depending on the professor. This means that what some muggleborns may assume is an "Easy O" isn't, as the teacher may get things wrong.

The Muggle Studies classroom is on the first floor of Hogwarts and can be assumed to be a rather standard lecture hall.
