Head Obliviator. Sister of Kevin Hopwood, Gobstones World Champion. Obliviator all her life, apart from the war years, she has looked after trainees, and also spent increasing amounts of time working on legal issues and the muggle excuse committee. She is a semi-regular with I.D.R.E.A.D incidents, though is often involved in more strategic roles than front line.
She attended Hogwarts in the same year as Edwin Glass and the two trained to be obliviators together in 1968. In the war years, Morwenna made an escape and helped to hide Muggle borns and others pursued by the Ministry, refusing to support Voldemort's regime. She returned to help with the restoration under Kingsley Shacklebolt.
In 2000, Morwenna had an error of judgement when performing an obliviation, and caused a more serious incident which could have also ended her career and potentially put her in Azkaban. At the time she was in a relationship with Edwin Glass, the then newly appointed Deputy Head of Department, who confidentially helped her cover things up. The two have had a link since, and Edwin maintains Morwenna owes him a favour of equal value.
Calling in the favour, Morwenna was chosen specially by Edwin Glass to obliviate Lawrence Musgrave in August 2011. She believes she did obliviate him, but cannot remember, as she was subsequently obliviated to ensure the secrecy of the memories. She strongly suspects her repayment has allowed Edwin to cover something up in return, as he accepts the debt has now been repaid.
Although she is keen to keep her record clean, it is possible that when pressured, she would confide her fears.
