Miranda is a historian and curator at the National Museum of Wizarding History. She unofficially studied ancient and medieval muggle history at Cambridge University after graduating from Hogwarts. It was there she met her husband, Carl Watkins, who studied supernatural beliefs of the middle ages.
She had a good relationship with both of her sons until her youngest, Kelvin, came out of the closet. Unable to accept her son's homosexuality, she has not spoken a word to him since that day. This has strained her relationship with her eldest child as well as her husband.
She has grown into a strict woman who enjoys everything about history. Since her son came out, she has thrown herself even further into her work.
