The Minister for Magic from 1980 until 1990, Millicent Bagnold led the Ministry of Magic through the first downfall of Voldemort. In 1980, Bagnold's term in office got off to a rocky start when two of her sons were attacked by a werewolf allied with the Death Eaters. Other than Voldemort's defeat, her time as Minister is notable for the two-month tour she and her lead advisors took of magical Britain in 1988.
Many of her family members are still active in the Ministry today. She is the grandmother of Kurby Bagnold and Rosheen Bagnold, and the great-grandmother of Kelvin and Patrick Watkins.
