Mike is a friendly person, but he is a trouble maker. Even though he enjoys pulling off pranks, he is not cruel with them, and he does know when it is too far. He does well in most of his classes, and he does have a few that he does not do well in. Rather than playing Qudditch, he's completely happy with watching the Gryffindor Qudditch Team from the sidelines, and watching the game with excitement. In addition, he likes to read as well.
Physical Description
Mike stands at 5 feet and 2 inches, and he has a fairly slim body. His metabolism is fast, thus allowing him to stay thin. Since he is still growing, he is not that concerned about his height. He has short brown hair, that usually stays messy. Even though he may try to keep his hair in line, it usually ends up looking a bit messy. He never tries to make it look nice, opting to keep it messy. He has dark brown eyes as well.
Mike's complexion is fair, with very few pimples. When he does get pimples, he is fully content, and barely even notices them. But, if he does notice them, he does not try to hide it. After all, every person does get pimples, so it isn't the end of the world to him. Other than that, he has no other markings on his skin.
Mike tends to choose his clothes randomly from his closet. It does not matter to him if his clothes do not match, and he makes no attempt to make them match. He usually wears a t-shirt, jeans, and Vans shoes. He does not dress up, and he likes to keep his style simple and comfortable.
Personality Description
Mike is a troublemaker, as he enjoys to play pranks. He does not discriminate anyone from his pranks, and he would prank anyone as he possibly could. Thus, he likes jokes, and he is always up for a laugh. However, he is not cruel with these pranks, and he would not pull any prank that would seriously harm another person. Yet, his idea of what could seriously harm someone else hasn't fully developed, so he has trouble making a decision on how to prank other people. Sometimes, he has spent so much time trying to think of how to perform his prank, that he is unable to prank since he is caught by that point. He struggles inwardly on what is considered harmful, that he would need to plan a prank well in advance before it could even work correctly.
Despite his troublemaking, Mike is outgoing in nature. He still does like to make friends as well. However, this also means that some people would dislike him due to his troublemaking ways. In addition, he likes to goof off with his friends, and hang around with them while causing a ruckus around the castle. He has no preference when goofing around. He would goof around during the day, or during the night.
Mike is brave and courageous. He likes to go out on adventures around the castle. He likes finding new ways to sneak around the castle, and possibly pull a prank in that area. In addition to pulling pranks, he likes to read. He is studious, and completes his work on time. Sometimes, he even finishes early just so he could cause more problems later on in the day, or at night.
At the same time, Mike does have times when he doesn't appear too brave. He is afraid of fighting. He does like watching a duel, but he is terrible at it. He prefers to watch others dueling rather than himself. Rather than standing up for himself, he'd rather shy away from confrontations. The same thing happens with Qudditch. He's afraid to play Qudditch, since he would become afraid of being attacked by the other players. He believes this to be the same thing with dueling, since it is reminiscent of a confrontation. Yet again, he would prefer to watch a Qudditch match play out, than actually playing it himself.
Mike is loyal to his friends, and he would help out his friends if it was ever needed. He does not concern himself with breaking the rules, but he does attempt to hide and not be caught. Naturally, he does not like detentions, but yet, he does attend the detentions that he eventually gets while out late at night.
Mike's best class at Hogwarts is Defense Against the Dark Arts, while he is terrible at Transfiguration. He does try in his classes, including the ones where he isn't particularly skilled in. He is not the that intelligent, and he is far from being the smartest in his year. But, he does do well in his classes, at the very least he receives average grades.
History
Jonathon and Erica (Sonders) Dewine gave birth to Michael on June 20. He was born two years after his older brother, Steven. For a while after Mike's birth, the Dewine household was well. The attention of his parents was shared between both Mike and Steve. After two years, this changed again. His parents gave birth to his younger sister, Christine.
Despite receiving the constant attention of his parents at first, with the birth of his younger sister, he began to notice the signs of middle child syndrome. His brother and sister got the attention of his parents a lot more than what he was able to do. At first, he did not mind it that much. But, after a while, he was concerned.
Mike used to be quiet, and enjoyed his time reading when he learned how to. So, he would spend most of his time reading, rather than attempting to gain the attention of his parents. Yet, as his brother and sister continued to gain their parent's attention, he did become jealous. After a while, he began acting out.
First, it started off with talking more, and becoming a bit louder with his voice. When this did not work, Mike began to pull small jokes around the house. For example, he would intentionally misplace items, or switch around objects. But, even this did not get his parents' attention. Therefore, he began to start pulling pranks off around the house. At first, his parents had no idea who was pulling these pranks to gain attention.
Around the age of six, Mike's father began to show his children how to play Qudditch. He enjoyed the game, but he failed to have the best skills to become experienced in any of the positions of a team. Around age eight, he showed his first signs of magic. While being jealous about his siblings grabbing the attention of their parents, he caused a whole row of books on a bookshelf to fly completely off of the shelf.
Jonathon and Erica were both half-bloods. Jonathon was a Gryffindor and Erica was a Ravenclaw when they were both in Hogwarts. Therefore, it was not surprising for the children of the family to be sent to Hogwarts and gain their magical abilities. Nevertheless, it was still an exciting experience.
Mike watched in amazement as Steven received a letter to Hogwarts when he was eleven (and Mike as nine). From that point on, he did become amazed in the magical places where they could go. He eagerly anticipated his own letter to Hogwarts that he received two years later, when he was eleven himself.
When he arrived at Hogwarts, Mike was sorted into Gryffindor house. From there, he continued his troublemaking streak. He was able to make friends with some of the other students. Although he was not smart like his mother, he did do well in most of his classes. Now, Mike would be in his second year at Hogwarts, soon to be in his third year.
How Do You Fit Into Your House?: Mike fits in his house, because he has the natural qualities of a Gryffindor. He is brave and courageous. He would not fit into Ravenclaw, because he is not that intelligent. He would not fit in Hufflepuff, because he is not patient at all. Since he is not cruel or ambitious, he would not fit in as a Slytherin. Therefore, Gryffindor is the only house where he fits in.
