Marietta is a scholarly young woman, embracing the joys of research as tempered by the responsibilities of family. Her primarily goals are to respect and honor the magic she has been gifted with by exploring its variations and experimenting with it in a way that progresses and improves its livelihood. She seeks tolerance and understanding for all in a general sense. However, on an individual basis she can come across as awkward and somewhat socially inept, having spent most of her life studying magic, not humanity.
Appearance
Second tallest of the four Grimlish girls (By an inch), Marietta is slender and somewhat boyish. She has more of the olive tint to her skin than her sisters, but her years spent as an Unspeakable has left her just as pale. Like all of her siblings, she has dark eyes and dark hair, the latter of which she keeps short and practical. Her preferred color is black and she wears a lot of plain and simple, yet gothic inspired clothing. She rarely wears makeup, however.
Biography
Born in 1974, in Oradea, Transylvania with a vampire as a godfather, it is no wonder that Marietta is probably the darkest of the Grimlish kids. She was obsessed with the macabre at a young age and carried it well into adulthood. When she was 16, she had a dream about a vampire that professed his love for her and promised to one day be with her. After that, she became obsessed with vampires, her lover in particular. After attending and graduating from Hogwarts, Ravenclaw house, she joined Analiza Snark on a world wide trip to study the birthplaces of Magic as an internship for the Department of Mysteries. In 1999, she would find two young children, twin boy and girl, performing magic on the street in Canada. She not only realized they were magical themselves, but noted a brooch on the girls blouse that looked like one her vampire lover wore. Convinced they were her rightful children, she took them up as her own and moved them back to England with her, naming them Elijah Grimlish and Evelyn Grimlish. Since then, she has been working as an Unspeakable for the Spell Research and Experimentation office. She did do a very short stint as Department head after Analiza Snarks departure, but found it disagreeable and left office for Dante Ward to take over.

Random Fact: She hates and even fears the color yellow, considering anything colored yellow to be highly unlucky. Her family tries to respect this by avoiding the color as best they can.
