Luke is the eldest Matthews child and brother of Devlin Matthews and Lucy Matthews.
Like with Douglas, Devlin and Luke were closer when Dev was young rather then when he was older. Luke is just like Douglas in almost every aspect, with the exception that he isn't as intelligent. He is a hard worker when he wants to be, a trait Leticia gave to him, and has managed to help the family for years with his Mechanics job. He and Dev don't really talk, mainly because Luke sides with his father about Dev betraying the family (Somehow). It also doesn't help that Dev was Leticia's favorite and also the favorite of Doug's boss when they were younger, which made it seem like Doug favored him. Dev having magical powers on top of it all left Luke really jealous, so their relationship took several major blows over the last couple of years. Recently, Luke got his bosses daughter pregnant and lost his job. Unless he marries the girl and takes care of her, he can't get it back. He is planning on marrying her and moving out, a prospect that worries Devlin considering that Luke's paycheck paid many of the bills.

At Absit Omen
- In this letter to Lucy, Devlin says he 'even misses Luke', showing both the lack of affection between the two brothers and his homesickness.
- When telling Sophie Flickwick about how his family dealt with his mothers death in this thread, Luke was the only sibling that Devlin DIDN'T mention.
- Like with Devlin, Luke is the only one not mentioned with Lucy thinks about what her brothers and father mean when they say 'later', in this thread. This shows that either they have little to do with each other or she doesn't particularly like him either, probably stemming from Devlin and Luke's antagonistic relationship.
- In a letter to Devlin, Lucy says that because Luke lost his job (though he was only suspended) thanks to knocking up the bosses daughter, she had nothing but peanut butter and bologna to eat for 2 weeks.
