A staid, uncompromising witch, Lenore had very little in common with her ex-husband, Gideon Howell. For all that they were both Gryffindors, they still had very little values, one of them being the opinions of others; Gideon never cared much for them, but she did. She was quite obsessed in comparison.
Still, she had loved her husband quite a bit, and so their estrangement - his infidelity - had taken its toll on her. Already bitter over his disinterest in his own daughter, the reveal of his affair was a terrible blow, especially when she realized it had taken place during their second courtship. Worse still was how much he clearly favored the children he fathered over the ones they had together.
With Gideon out of the picture, Lenore focuses even more energy on her career and daughters.
