Short Bio: Laurissa was ophaned at a young age when her parents and maternal grandparents were murdered by Death Eaters during the Second Wizarding War on 6/12/97. She and her brother Charlton only survived the attack as they had staying at a babysitter’s for the evening. The two siblings were subsequently sent out of the country by their uncle Theobald to stay with Calvin Michaels and his family for the remainder of the war, not that Laurissa remembers anything of this.
After the war Theobald brought his nephew and niece back to England from Canada, where the two were looked after by several nannies until their uncle decided to move the family to North America. Laurissa spent the age of 4 to 8 in Salem, Massachusetts, where she attended a muggle primary school. Her magical powers first revealed themselves there during an exam that she had not revised for where the fire alarm suddenly went off without reason. Since returning to the UK, she and her brother have been educated by her uncle and a tutor from Hogsmeade.
Laurissa is very much her father’s daughter and is a very brave, almost foolhardy, young lady, who has not let the family’s various moves affect her overmuch. She is a talkative and pleasant girl and has managed to maintain friendships with several of her muggle friends in America, to whom she writes regularly and constantly moans to that her new home lacks a computer to e-mail them with. Her uncle has raised her to keep good manners and she attends the local catholic church with him although she has yet to mature enough to form her own views on issues of faith and politics.
Laurissa is a half-blood. Both of her maternal grandparents were muggles.
