Dashing, Debonair, and a deadly deulist, if he says so himself, which he often does. Kasper is a man of many talents, which he will gladly regail you about any chance you give him. Luckily, for him, he is able to back up those stories for the most part. He is so good, in fact, that even as a ghost, he managed to talked a beautiful living woman into marrying him. No til death do you part in these nuptials.
Appearance
A man of average height and trim build, Kasper carries himself with the regal bearing of a Victorian gentleman. He has thick, slightly wavy, light brown hair, with sideburns and a small, regretfully whispy mustache. He was obviously someone of wealth when he was alive because he wears an elegant, Victorian style coat, waistcoat and ruffled shirt. Being dead means he doesn't worry about style or changing his clothes, though he often laments his lack of a hat to tip at a lady.
Biography
Kasper is Kurby and Dervla Bagnold's great, great, great uncle. He died at 32 years old in 1898, at the tail end of the Victorian era. He was a famous duelist who was known as being flamboyantly arrogant but brave, and also a bit of a ladies man. All in all, he was a lot like Gilderoy Lockheart, except that he actually DID the famous stunts and battles that he claimed he did. His death was sudden and quite embarrassing. He was flirting with a beautiful pureblood lass in hopes of winning her hand against another pureblood man by showing off his skills against an enchanted practice dummy. Little did he know but his rival in love had put a reflection charm on it in hopes of embarrassing Kasper by knocking him out with his own spell. Regrettably, Kasper chose to do this dueling near a pond and when his stunning spell was reflected back at him, he was not only knocked out but fell into the pond. The dim pureblooded lass he was courting didn't realize he was unconscious and thought it was all a delightful act until he rose as a ghost from his body. He haunted their home in revenge until her family abandoned the place in irritation.
Opie was the one who originally found him while on her travels. She wrote a short auto-biography on him, but never got to finish it because he kept avoiding the topic of how he died. He flirted briefly with her, but soon realized she didn't understand the concept of flirting, so he gave up. When he saw a picture of Rhiannon, he suddenly insisted on returning with her. He and Rhiannon immediately fell in love, despite the whole "Ghost" bit, and he is now a member of the Grimlish clan.
Other
Interesting Facts: Kasper is bound to his wand, which was lost in the ponds murky depths when he fell into it and never recovered. It is an Aspen wand that was said to belong to an ancestor who was a member of the famously mysterious duelling club, the Silver Spears. He refused to allow the recovery of the wand until he met Opie and saw the picture of Rhiannon, subsequently allowing the former to locate the wand and take it home with her. Rhiannon's wedding ring is made of the petrified tip of the wand set in silver with pearls, so that he may travel with her.
