Personal assistant to Ira Almasy. Nobody knows who Layton is or where he has come from. Memories of his exploits at Hogwarts are vague at best - and there is the nagging suspicion (for those in the know) that the real Jebediah Layton went on holiday to the Americas twenty-two years ago and never returned. He seems a hapless man on the exterior but there is a unyielding loyalty and ruthlessness beneath the wizard's likeable nature. Layton does what Ira cannot, by being able to mix in with just about anybody whilst leaving only the faintest impression. Don't test him. He has none of the patience of his employer, if he can risk it.
