Protective, loyal and gentle, Jack Howell is a naive werewolf who hasn't been in the wizarding world for many years and is just now getting to know the world to which he was born. He was born Jonathan Travers to the pure-blooded Travers family and was isolated from the world for almost his entire life thanks to the fact that his weakness in magic and mothers spite convinced his father he was illegitimate. As if being thought of as dead by the world and being treated like a slave in his own home by his family was bad enough, he was cursed with lycanthropy after his parents sent him to kill Vincent Carrow, presumably to protect his sister Samantha Travers, despite being sure he would die in the process.
Kicked out of his home after somehow surviving the werewolf attack, Jack took refuge with an old muggle named Charlie, who cared for the boy like a father. When Charlie unexpectedly died from a heart attack (after witnessing Jack transform), Jack took to the woods and has, until recently, escaped detection. However, he knew he could not survive in the muggle world for long, so he found his way to the wizarding world after a chance meeting with squib Roger Lemon. With Roger's help, Jack entered the wizarding world for the first time in years. There he would befriend Fauna Blake and then Bethan Ellis, the latter of which convinced him to finally register as a werewolf. He has since gotten his first wand (though he doesn't know how to use it) and procured an apartment at the Shodding Arms. He had a couple jobs but was fired from one for not disclosing the fact he was a werewolf and the other for getting into a fight. Luckily he met Pandora Puddifoot, who gave him a job at Puddifoots.
Currently
Jacks' life has been pretty steady and blissful these last couple of months. He has made a few friends in Emmylou Carter, Adelia Delacroix and Arrow Thatcher. At a party at the latters house, he met Emeline Trumble, a fellow werewolf who he instantly felt a connection with. He doesn't really realize this yet, however.
Emeline mistakenly helped reunite Jack and Sam. While Jack is overjoyed to be able to protect his sister again, he is terrified of what it means. If Yorick finds out that Jack is back in the wizarding world, let alone back in his sisters life, he will do anything he can to make Jack's life hell. Worse, Sam wants to escape the house before her father manages to marry her off to some pureblood and is trying to convince Jack to let her live with him.

- Erisid: He, sans scars (meaning he has been cured or never cursed with lycanthropy), with his wife and children.
- Hobbies: Parkour, boxing, running, wood carving, origami and watching old kung-fu movies.
- Little Known Fact: Jack's werewolf curse has given him exceptional senses even when not transformed. Because of this, he was able to smell potion ingredients on Roger, which is how he knew he was of wizarding blood. He is also a great tracker and can read peoples moods easily, though he often misinterprets or doesn't understand the latter.
- Name Meaning: Jonathan Evander Travers translates to "God has given a warrior" (Interestingly enough, his sisters name is Samantha Charlene Travers, which translates to "God has heard a warrior"). Jack Howell translates to "Man of Eminence", not that Jack knew this when he chose the name.
