Info:Creating a Character
Absit Omen is an online Harry Potter role-playing game set in J.K. Rowling's Wizarding World. Over fifty writers from all over the world gather here to write exciting, original stories in a collaborative setting. There are new surprises every day and it's we, the members, who decide the fate of this world. To participate you must register an account and create a character.
Absit Omen is rated 
and is restricted to members age 13 and older.
Register
First, create an account. Choose any username you like - you can change your display name later. You will receive a validation email to activate your account.
Consider Your Character
Absit Omen is home to characters from all over the Wizarding World - how will you experience it? An exciting menagerie of characters is welcome where each has a valuable story to tell. It's up to you!
Please read through the documents below to get a solid understanding of how these character types work at AO.
Write a Biography
Every character at Absit Omen has a bio which must be approved by a Curator. Please fill out the appropriate Character Biography Form for your character type.
If you would like to play a Criminal or a Creature, please fill out a regular Character Biography Form as well as the Criminal or Creature Supplemental Form. You can submit both of these forms at the same time.

- Check the Cast of Characters to see what roles are already taken and what roles need to be filled.
- Visit the Adoption Center to see a list of adoptable NPCs!
- Save a copy off-site before you hit submit.
- Write in third person (He has/She has)
- Keep the original formatting - don't change colours etc yet
- Proofread! Errors in grammar and spelling could delay the process.

- Your bio will post New Characters Board. Click Modify to make edits.
- Get caught up on plots with the Fortnight Fliers and plot summaries.
Bio Review
Once your bio is complete, a Curator will move the bio to the staff area for review. You should hear back via PM within 24 hours. No character is ever outright rejected, and most characters need a minor tweak. Curators are checking your character to make sure it conforms with AO's rules, HP canon and AO canon.
