What's Happening Now?
A new school year begins in September 2010, following a busy year with the Tetrawizard Tournament.
Meanwhile in the wider wizarding world, a darkness haunts the countryside from the skies. Everyone glances upwards and mutters a cheering charm. The Ministry of Magic is scrambling to contain the horror, and average witches and wizards find their Patroni.
The most controversial issue of the age, the plight (or blight) of werewolves divides family and community. Why are so many unregistered werewolves going missing? Was there a werewolf attack in broad daylight? Who's helping who St. Mungo's can't?
Dementors Rising. It has been twelve years since the Dementors were banished from Azkaban following the end of the Second War. In all that time, few were seen. But now, all of a sudden, the strange cowled creatures have returned with a vengeance. The Minister calls for calm, but the panic is beginning to build. Who or what has spurred these dark beings to become aggressive once more? Can anything be done to stop them, aside from waiting for the next attack?
Shadows of Gellert Grindelwald. When an old man dies mysteriously in the Three Broomsticks, Magical Law Enforcement quickly dismisses it as nothing more than a tragedy. But was the death really an accident, or is something more going on? It seems that someone is interested in tracking down former supporters of Gellert Grindelwald, decades after the notorious Dark Wizard's defeat. Are they working for the Greater Good, or do they have some other nefarious purpose in mind?
And Other Dark Stirrings... The Wizarding Blood Alliance has been quiet recently, but the infamous terrorist group will surely not remain quiet for long. Add to that rumors of a dark magical circus trying to abduct innocents off the street and a brand new night club that demands absolute secrecy -- and sometimes even more -- from its members, and you'll soon hope that the ancient wards still work.
