Imari has a personality that can switch as easily as turning on a lamp. She’s cool and collected one moment and releasing her fiery temper the next. She tries very hard to keep her secrets hidden and her temper in check, but she absolutely hates when people badmouth muggle-borns and squibs.
History
History: Travian Nichols had a good job as a dragon keeper for the Gringotts dragons. He got to make his own hours, was practically his own boss and made good money, all of this right out of Hogwarts. He had extremely good marks in Care of Magical Creatures and put those skills to good use. He was heading out of the bank one day, towards the Three Broomsticks for some lunch when he saw her. She stood out like a sore thumb, a rose among lilies. She was wearing a bright green tracksuit and was jogging through the less-than-crowded pathway that winded through Diagon Alley.
Her hair was tied back into a ponytail and she was breathing hard. He only knew that because it was cold outside and he could see her breath. She passed him on the opposite side of the path as he made his way to the little eatery/pub and he winked at her, she smiled, but kept jogging. He let the beautiful woman escape his mind as he satisfied his hunger and thirst. Paying Tom for his meal and drink, he left the building just in time to crash into Calysta Lockwood.
He helped her up and took her inside the establishment to make sure she was okay. As he sat down across from her at the table after ordering two hot butterbeers, they began to talk. Travian found out that he had known her at Hogwarts but didn't know it. She had been a shy, quiet first year when he was a boisterous fourth year with an eye for the ladies. After their talk, he walked her back to the bookstore and left her there with the words, "Lunch tomorrow?" and walking out and back to the bank without waiting for a reply.
A year later and a lily-covered wedding, Calysta and Travian were joined in wedded bliss. As they went to the meal after the ceremony Calysta began to feel sick. Travian looked at her with a worried glance, "You okay love?" he asked her as he pulled her close. Calysta just nodded and they continued into the banquet hall. Toasts were given, the meal was eaten, and then came the cake, but something was missing. The bride had disappeared. A quick search by the maid of honor found her in the bathroom emptying her stomach of everything she had eaten that day. Five minutes later they emerged into the banquet hall and the cutting of the cake proceeded.
Little did they know, but Calysta was pregnant with their first child - Abigail Rose. Soon after Abigail was born, they settled into their life. They had found a house in a Muggle town because Calysta wanted her daughter to grow up normally as she did. Abby grew quickly and soon, four years later; Calysta welcomed her second child into the world, a baby girl named Imari. As Abby got older they soon realized that their eldest daughter was a Squib. Travian was disappointed and all but kicked the 15 year old out of the house. Calysta was fine with it, after all, Abigail was her first baby, and she could do no wrong. Imari Imari Nichols grew up fast, her father was distant, not wanting to get close to another child that had no magical ability, but it showed up on her sixth birthday when she went to blow out the candles and her little friend Toby decided to blow them out for her.
Imari let out a shriek as she began to cry and Toby flew across the room, slamming into the wall. Calysta went to check on the little boy as Travian picked his little girl up, comforting her and looking at her with proud eyes, neither of them noticing the jealous 10 year old in the background. The feeling of hostility between the sisters rapidly grew, especially when Imari received her Hogwarts letter when she turned eleven. The girls' father was ecstatic (sp?) and began to plan a party. Abigail, the elder girl at fifteen was insanely jealous and attacked her sister. To this day, Imari has a scar on her lower abdomen where her sister launched herself at Imari with a knife from the kitchen.
So Imari was sent to Hogwarts. She was sorted into Slytherin, her father's old house, and loved it immediately. That is, until she realized that some of the friends she had made in her first year, thought that squibs and muggle-borns (her sister and mother) were abominations and needed to be destroyed. Imari kept them as friends, but no longer talked about her family.
