- Name: Gregory Goyle Sr.
- Age: 1926-12-15
- Position: Grandfather of Silvia Bog-Goyle.
Appearance: The Goyles were built to survive, not to be beautiful. Survival of the fittest has gifted Mr. Goyle with a prodigious forehead and a neck to deter even the most avid of stranglers. His once dark hair has thinned and gone white, but his small, dark eyes remain sharp and vigilant. He's a big man and built like a brick--he's not fat exactly, but certainly solid, square and red.
Short Bio: Gregory Sr. has sailed through life with the easy confidence of someone who knows the rules do not apply to him. He scorned Grindelwald as a filthy foreigner and quietly dismissed Voldemort as a passing fad, certain that the Goyles had been for almost five hundred years and would continue to be for many centuries to come. Investigated repeatedly for murder, charges slid from him like water from a duck. His first wife, Marcia Crabbe (Gregory Jr.'s grandmother), died at the tender age of 34, and his second wife only made it to 28 before falling mysteriously ill. His third wife, the beauteous Helene Argent, was expected to go the same way as her predecessors but remains the dragon-mother of the clan to this day. When his son and grandson supported Voldemort's second rise to power, Gregory was pleased to say 'I told you so' after Potter aborted said rise. He was less pleased to see his scions arrested, even less so to see them convicted. The Goyles lost money, friends and reputation in one fell swoop and Gregory was forced to sell off the family estates in northern England and move to what had once been the family hunting lodge and dog kennel in Manchester. His estranged daughter's husband conveniently disappeared, allowing his errant princess to move back home, bringing her daughter with her. In the last decade Gregory has been haunted by Marie Goyle's broken mind and soothed by his granddaughter's respectful presence.
