Freddy is a momma’s boy with a good heart, good head on his shoulders, and a strong moral compass. He has a lot to live up to, being a Radley and doesn’t want to let anyone in his family down. At school, he’s a poster boy for the essence of hufflepuff, he is loyal and even-tempered (unless there’s a girl he likes in the room, then he’s quickly leaving it) and wants to support the people around him. In all senses, he is a cinnamon roll that is too pure for this world.
He did not start purposefully going along with Alistair Spectre's lie, but it has been going on for so long and everyone seems in on the joke that Fred knows he can't get away with trying to say anything now.
