Fendrel (Fenny to his mates) is a descendent of the Stumps that included Minister Grogan Stump. He was in Slytherin House at Hogwarts, where he left after his fifth year with a set of excusable OWLs. After a string of jobs for family friends Fendrel applied for hit wizard training. He has a natural aptitude for duelling, good physical fitness and is very resilient. He takes no nonsense.
He has managed to survive to a decent age as a hitwizard, and now spends more time training up new recruits and on paper trails rather than being a flash in the pan on jobs. He was assigned as primary hitwizard to supervise Lawrence Musgrave during his stay on Level 2 in 2011. He replaced other hitwizards and aurors who Harper Graves filed reports of assault against. He's no great love of Musgrave, but he doesn't feel the need to hurt him unless he makes a move on a visitor.
Fendrel has found plenty of time to read books as things become less eventful on duty, and has recently joined a book club with his new found interest in literature.
During Fendrel's early adulthood, he witnessed his uncle's fatal cauldron accident while working for him. He kept going on about a potion he was brewing, and Fendrel told him to stop bothering his work so he could get home on time or to show him the potion. The potion proved untested and volatile, causing the cauldron to explode, cover his uncle in potion and melt his body. There was no chance of saving him. It is one of Fendrel's worst memories, because it is so vivid.
Due to Fendrel's reading matter, it is suspected he and his wife also own a cat or two.
