Dreogan Eleor

From Absit Omen Lexicon

Dreogan is a British-born, pure-blood wizard and the Head of the new Muggle Affairs Office for the Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes. He is the brother of Auror Adon Eleor and is married to Akiva Katz-Eleor. Born the eldest son of Egyptian-born, Jewish philosopher and activist Dreogan Eleor, Sr. and rebellious pureblood Hestia Eleor, Dreogan grew up with a varied, troubled, and privileged upbringing.

Human and Beings Rights Work and Diplomacy

Like his father, Dreogan Eleor is a ardent supporter of human and beings rights, with a focus in diplomacy and Muggle-Wizarding relations. He was a professor of Muggle Mage relations at Laevenstrome in California for two years before joining the British Ministry as a diplomat to the Near Eastern Ministry, headquartered in Jerusalem. Now the Head of the Muggle Affairs Office, which he established, Dreogan consults with the various offices and departments in the Ministry about how to better and more seamlessly incorporate Muggle considerations when necessary, and Statute requirements--be that in education, advocacy on Level 2, or Statute provisions on Level 4. He naturally has significant overlap with the Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes, and his current efforts are centered on encouraging a strategic plan, rather than reactionary approach to Statute breaches.

Past Conflicts

Dreogan's Muggle advocacy got him into significant trouble with the WBA and, on a personal level, in a deadly rivalry with its leader Cinaed Tawse. When Tawse threatened his mother, Adon moved from Israel to help protect her. When, several months later, Tawse abducted and tortured Dreogan's Muggleborn girlfriend, Akiva, the enmity was solidified. Dreogan established the Muggle Affairs Office to actively counteract the negative rhetoric of the WBA, and for a time things were relatively peaceful for the family. Akiva and Dree were wed, and they had their first child, a boy: Gabe.

Shortly after the birth of their son, Dreogan was abducted by a Turkish crime ring, Topluluk. This group had worked with his father--entering into a partnership to fund Dreogan Sr.'s utopian, Statute-free society in Israel, before turning on him, blackmailing him for stolen magical artifacts, and, when he stopped complying, ultimately murdering him. As their next mark, Dreogan was abducted and snared in the same scheme. For eight months, he was Topluluk's hostage before, with the help of the Near Eastern Ministry's Department of Law Enforcement, helping to shut the group down.
