Dingy (pronounced DING-ee) is a House Elf serving the O'Doherty family, tasked as the steward of Casey O'Doherty since his young master was a babe and Dingy himself was able to scrub the floors. Dingy's duties include maintaining the health and well being of Casey. Dingy remains at Doherty Manor with his parents, Dollop and Dimple, when not actively serving Casey. When at Hogwarts, Dingy informs his master of the going-ons at the castle and performs tasks crucial to his master's plans in secret. The pot he wears on his head is to protect himself from objects the O'Doherty family throws at him when displeased.
