Devil's Snare

From Absit Omen Lexicon

Devil's Snare are an English rock band formed in 1978 by Lorcan Overdale, after his departure from his previous band Deep Pumpkin. Their early material has been compared by critics to the blues rock of Deep Pumpkin, but they slowly began moving toward a more commercially accessible wrock style.

They released a string of UK top 10 albums in the magical world including Ready an' Cursing (1980), Come an' Hex It (1981), Saints & Sinners (1982) and Charm It In (1984).

The band's 1987 self-titled album was their most commercially successful, breaking into international magical markets and contained two major hits, "Here I Fly Again" and "Is This Love (Potion?)", reaching number one and two in American magical charts.

The band enjoyed greatest fame in the 1980s, performing gigs up and down the country and even took a world tour. They split in the early 1990s to pursue their own interests and the members went to ground during the second wizarding war.

Devil's Snare officially reformed in 2002 and have been touring together since, releasing three studio albums, Charmed to Be Cursed (2008), Spellamore (2011).
