Darius Andrius Gabor is a career criminal, known primarily for smuggling and kidnapping, who currently resides in London. His cover job is that of a foreign correspondent for the Azeri Wizarding Times.
Darius is an Azerbaijani-born, Romani mage who dropped out of Beit Gaddol a few years before graduating. Though he's known as a "jack-of-all-illegal-trades," he is most infamous for the kidnap and (apparent) murder of six-year-old Aaliyah Zaman of Iraq in 1995. Two years ago, Darius modified his appearance with a batch of purposefully-botched polyjuice potion so that he would be able to travel freely without being recognized. He is now identifiable only by the black-and-white tattoo of a peacock on his back.
Darius's story is closely related to that of Auror Trainee Eha Farro and Hogwarts student Alvis Norling He is most often accompanied by and identified with his pet-slash-companion Faigel, a Caladrius.
