  • Name: Danielle LeJean
  • Age: 33, May 4 1976
  • Position: Mother of Heliotrope LeJean. Loch Lomond Merpeople Representative, Trader

Appearance: Tall, slender and long limbed with dark hair down to her waist. Deep blue eyes and a pallid completion, very reserved. Her clothes: shirts and pants that can stand the water, over robes for warmth.

Short Bio: Danielle was a reserved and quiet witch at Beauxbatons (entered in ’87), raised by her maternal grandparents as her mother had her out of wedlock and died from complications to a magical disease within her first few years of Danielle’s life. At school she was very much a wallflower, preferring her work with herbology or magical creatures to the company of other people. She was an average student, never getting high marks or drawing attention to herself. Within her last two years of school she lost both grandparents, her grandmother first and grandfather last, soon after graduation. During her last year of school Beauxbatons was preparing for the next year when a delegation of the school leaving for the TWT, so she had little comfort at the academy with the loss of her grandmother. Being of age and with her guardians gone Danielle traveled north until she eventually “disappeared” around Loch Lomond.

Much like Mirabella Plunkett, who acclimated with the resident merfolk colony centuries before, Danielle soon fell in love with a merman, Kulgor. They would often talk by the shore, Danielle holding her breath for longer and longer periods underwater to better understand him. She adapted her magic for living amongst the merpeople: prolonged bubblehead charms, warming spells, water sealing, etc. She built herself a hut on a small island in the Loch and warded it to dispel muggles. Danielle and Kulgor performed a Union in the eyes of the clan and for all purposes are married. She later carried his spawn, giving birth to their daughter Heliotrope LeJean.

Danielle has been on the very fringe of muggle and magical societies. She went to neighboring towns for supplies and one attempt to get Heliotrope a “surface” education that didn’t go over to well. Trading wizards often come to her to barter for aquatic goods harvested by the colony. Her new calling in life is protecting and supporting the colony the way she can on the surface.
