Damon is the youngest boy in the Matthews Family and brother to Devlin Matthews and Lucy Matthews
Damon is considered the geek of the Matthews family. He has Devlin's brains without his outgoing nature and charm. Because of this, he tends to keep to himself and immerse himself into fantasy worlds. Needless to say, it was probably a pretty big blow when Dev got to go to a magical school and the one kid who belonged there in spirit was forgotten. To make matters worse, Damon is the prettiest boy in the family and gets teased relentlessly by his older brothers, even Devlin.
Though Damon is not close with Devlin, he is very close to Lucy and the two have shared a room until recently, when it was discovered she too was magical. Damon likely took the news harder this time since, again, he wasn't chosen and also because Lucy left. He keeps to himself and does well in school, but is often bullied for being effeminate and anti-social. Devlin suspects that he is gay and is too afraid to come out, as Douglas isn't the most tolerant person, but he doesn't press the issue.

- In a conversation with Sophie Flickwick about how he and his siblings dealt with their mothers death, Devlin mentions Damon as having shut down so completely that they thought he had gone mute.
- Damon was the recipient of a rare outburst of anger from Devlin in this thread when he interrupted Devlin reading the letter about his biological father.
