Damayanti Pimplebottom has been with the National Museum of Wizarding History for 69 years, holding the position of the secretary of the head curator since 1976. No one really knows why she insists to remain within her position rather than enjoy retirement or the many promotion offers. Or even how she manages to still be alive and working, sometimes insane hours. She has become a legend, an institution. The museum breathes through her, not able to exist without her wits, experience and intelligence. Throughout the years, she has become a valued consultant on all life questions, might they be history related or not. Damayanti never forgets a face and a lot of employees keep in touch with the old lady even years after they have left the museum.
