An ambitious, hardworking type even as a child, Cyrus ruthlessly shouldered his way up the ranks until he found himself heading the lot of them as Head of the International Magical Office of Law. In time he married Helena Carstairs née Rosier, a shrewd, striking witch from Goblin Liaison. As an opponent of Grindelwald, he risked much to stand by his ideals and survive—only to lose his wife, and then his own life, during the First Wizarding War. They had three sons: Arviragus Howell, Yorick Howell II, and Gideon Howell.
