[Edit]
A long, long time ago (in an Egyptian city far, far away), a mysterious Iranian mage approaches a young Seer named Dreogan Eleor to ask for his help in finding a valuable artifact that went missing several years before. Suspicious of the other mage's intentions, Dreogan refuses, and the identity of the object is left unknown.
[Edit]
On the surface, it appears to be a simple assignment: Get in, act charming, and find out what happened to the goblin-made mask that is supposedly owned by Wizengamot member and famed collector Lazarus Rippringham-Gomfrey. But of course, nothing involving Cursebreakers is ever as easy as it seems, especially when there's a grisly murder in the future.
[Edit]
The Daily Prophet later reports on the case: A Wizengamot Elder has been found murdered in the Tower of London, apparently turned inside-out with Dark Magic.

[Edit]
When Jonas Trevelyan gets back to the office after a two-week working holiday in Israel, he discovers that not everything is as he left it. His partner's desk has been covered in wrapping paper, and Archer Radley has a brand new case assignment for the pair of them and a couple of nosy trainees.
[Edit]
The Aurors arrive at the Tower of London to investigate the crime scene. The victim is identified as one Lazaraus Rippringham-Gomfrey, a member of the Wizengamot, and he appears to have been murdered using dark magic most foul.
[Edit]
As word starts to get out from the Daily Prophet article, the Cursebreakers are left scrambling to figure out how best to deal with this unexpected development.
[Edit]
Adon Eleor calls in a favor and asks Raizel Cohen for help understanding a clue related to the investigation, and Raizel confesses what she knows. But the pair discover more than they had bargained for when they arrive at the Eleor family vault.

[Edit]
A few months later, there is still no sign of the missing goblin-made Harvest Mask. Josephine St. Just, hoping for some sort of breakthrough, approaches an old contact who recently arrived at Hogwarts as part of Durmstrang's Tetrawizard Tournament delegation in hopes that he might be able to reveal something about the murder.
[Edit]
At the end of October, the Aurors are still quietly searching for the culprit behind Rippringham-Gomfrey's murder. The investigation gets an abrupt kick in the pants when another body, equally brutalized, is found in a similarly public Muggle location -- this time at Westminster Abbey. Black magic is again suspected.
[Edit]
Two goblins from Gringotts Bank, accompanied by Cursebreaker Raizel Cohen, demand an appointment with newly elected Minister of Magic Persepolis Zephyr. They demand that the Goblet of Fire be returned to rightful goblin custody or else all Ministry funds in Gringotts will be frozen. They threaten to try and reclaim the Goblet of Fire if the Corpus Inversus investigation isn't curtailed.
[Edit]
Auror Jonas Trevelyan finds an odd link between the first and second murder victims: both spent money at a Knockturn Alley shop called Grimshaw Tailoring and Alterations. When he and his boss Cameron Rosier go to investigate, they find another dead body and an unexpected ambush.
[Edit]
When Cameron Rosier runs into Raizel Cohen at the Hogshead pub, he convinces her that she can't afford to let the Corpus Inversus murders go unsolved.
[Edit]
Something is been building back at Gringotts. When Josephine St. Just discovers the goblins have been altering documents to make it seem as if she was linked to other shady operations, she is forced to visit Raizel Cohen for help.
[Edit]
At the end of the year, Jonas Trevelyan pays a visit to Nate Briggs, who is currently incarcerated in Azkaban. Though Jonas doesn't have high hopes for the exercise, he asks Nate to give his thoughts on the Corpus Inversus case, which has long since gone cold. Nate surprises him by revealing that Sellaphix Apothecary had dealings with the Grimshaw Tailor Shop, where the girl's body was found.
[Edit]
Jonas writes to Josephine St. Just in hopes that she will meet with him to discuss the current state of things at Gringotts.
[Edit]
Jonas and Josephine meet.
[Edit]
The Corpus Inversus murder has been quiet for months -- ever since Cameron Rosier disappeared in early December. But when the former head of Magical Law Enforcement finally returns to London, it is with a flourish: he claims to have found the missing goblin-made harvest mask somewhere in Morocco. Jonas Trevelyan comes to visit him at home, and while he is disbelieving, he agrees to help Rosier track down the mask.
[Edit]
A few days later, Cameron Rosier meets with Raizel Cohen to fill her in: he believes he has located the harvest mask, and wants to lead a team back to Morocco in order to find it.
[Edit]
Another day, another dead body...only this time, it's a goblin, and it's discovered by Muggles in the middle of the Bank of England.
[Edit]
Aurors Jonas Trevelyan and Archer Radley pay a visit to Hogwarts to meet with Defence Against the Dark Arts Professor, Ignan Storm regarding the magic used to inverse the bodies. They persuade Ignan to help them.
[Edit]
As requested Ignan Storm conducts magical experiments on livestock surrounding Godric's Hollow in pursuit of the type of curse used on the victims to turn them inside out. The local Muggle farmers are very confused at the results, and attempt to track down the source. Johann Storm accidentally encounters photographs of the work in the morning, but does not think anything of it.

[Edit]
At the end of the Hogwarts Career Fair, Ignan Storm invites Archer Radley and Jonas Trevelyan to his office to review the results of the research the aurors asked Ignan to conduct regarding the dark magic used to inverse the victims.
[Edit]
Archer Radley reviews evidence, and is joined by Gilchrist Riordan to discuss progress with the case.
[Edit]
Gringotts cursebreaker, Josephine St. Just receives notice from Auror Archer Radley of his impending visit on the 7th October.
