Late wife to Sean Ferris and mother of Kia Ferris and Kale Ferris.
Celestine was born near the start of the first Wizarding War and her parents were targets, her mother, Keenah Petember, for being a squib blood-traitor and her father, Omar St. Murfordt, for being a muggleborn and an auror. When she was about 3 years old, the two were attacked on a trip back to America. Keenah was killed by the Death-Eaters and Omar was paralyzed from the neck down. He and Celestine went to live with his mother. She was a tyrannical and very religious woman who saw her son and granddaughter as demon worshippers. Magic was forbidden in the house and Celestine was emotionally abused and neglected. She was forced to live in the attic and treated like a slave by her grandmother.
Hogwarts was a reprieve for her. She escaped her grandmothers wrath and was able to live somewhat safely at Hogwarts, despite the war. She was a very lonely and stand-offish girl who most people ignored or avoided, except for Sean Ferris. He was a year ahead of her and saw something he liked or at least sympathized with in her. He bugged the hell out of her for two years before she finally relented and agreed to be his friend. Once her shields were down, Sean's affection and admiration for her grew into love and she reluctantly reciprocated it. When she graduated from Hogwarts in 1986, she married Sean almost immediately and was expecting their first child within a few months.
Celestine idolized her father, so it was no surprise when she became an auror like him. She worked for the English Ministry for a few years before the Second Wizarding War started. When the Muggleborn Registration act was being created, Celestine knew her husband and father were going to be on the list, so she and Sean decided to move to America to live with her family. It was rough thanks to the purism rampant in the Petembers, but her grandmother Zelda welcomed and protected them. Celestine got a job for the American government as an auror.
A couple years after they moved to America, Celestine was given a mission to track down a couple of Death-Eaters that had escaped to the states. Despite her heroic efforts, Celestine was struck down by her quarry on April 20, 1998 and died in the hospital.

Interesting Facts: Despite being known as being cold and aloof, Celestine was a phenomenal cook who took great joy in cooking dinner for her family. She specialized in Crawdad Gumbo, which her children still dream of eating.
- Celestine didn't take the Ferris name, opting to use her maiden name, not out of disrespect for her husband but out of reverence for her father.
