Physical Description
Brin is 5 foot 10 with striking blue eyes and short blonde hair. As he works in the office and for the Minister he is always turned out very smartly. Brin was athletic in his youth. He does a lot to try and stay fit now. He is fond of cycling as it is close to riding a broom. Brin has suffered bad injuries when he was a hitwizard. He is sensitive to any future head injury. He is partially deaf in his right ear. He has many magical scars. Mostly on his right side. He suffers from panic attacks but keeps this very secret. His routine keeps him straight.
Personality Description
Brin is an extraordinarily hard worker. Work is central to all he does. It gives him purpose. His sense of duty is strong. He has enough discipline to manage himself and the whole team under the Minister. He finds joy in being useful to others. Though when combined with ambition, he is more choosy about who he is useful to. He makes for a good leader. He is a natural choice for a position of authority. He is indispensable. A great organizer.
History
Brin was born in January 1960. He was sorted into Hufflepuff in September 1971. The same year that Remus Lupin, Peter Pettigrew, Sirius Black, James Potter, Severus Snape, Lily Evans, Marcus Annwyl, Cynthia Musgrave and Alex Carter were. Brin studied hard. He made good friends. He took his owls in the summer of 1976. He took his newts two years later and left Hogwarts in 1978.
Brin went to the wedding of James Potter and Lily Evans in 1979. Spurred on by his friends he began to train as a hitwizard. Around him Harold Minchum stepped down as Minister for magic. He was unable to cope with the rise of Voldemort. He put more dementors at Azkaban but it did not solve things. Millicent Bagnold replaced Minchum. Then suddenly the world for Brin turned upside down. Sirius Black blew up a street. Peter Pettigrew was blown to pieces. The Potters were murdered. Inexplicably their baby son Harry survived. Voldemort disappeared.
By the time Brin qualified the magical world was at peace. It was not until the return of Voldemort during Cornelius Fudge's leadership that the shit hit the fan. Brin was determined not to be blindsided again. But he ended up grievously injured in the line of duty. The events of the war left him broken. Unable to return to active duty he was forced to take a desk job. There was a lot of paperwork to do to put all of Voldemort's followers in Azkaban.
When they won the fight against parchment Brin took a job in the Department of International Magical Cooperation. He needed a safer life. Better there than career death in Transport. Mysteries, Creatures were not safe.
Brin rebuilt his life. His trust. His confidence and health. He took a job on Level One. Began to climb the ranks. He served under his old classmate Annwyl. Under Zephyr. Now Glass.
