Original Location
The original Black Chimaera pub was located at the foot of Knockturn Alley, almost as far from Diagon Alley as you can get. Cinaed Tawse was its owner and proprietor. Although it appeared to be a simple Knockturn Alley pub, the Black Chimeara was also a social gathering place for members of the Wizarding Blood Alliance.
The Black Chimaera was a small, dark pub nestled between a vacant store and the brick wall that makes up the end of the alley. The main, front room was where the weathered bar is located. There were a handful of small, tables but little decoration or ornamentation on the walls. A variety of wizard's chess boards and other game paraphernalia were provided around the room.
The rooms to let were located upstairs. Downstairs, behind the main pub room, was a more comfortably furnished lounge room open exclusively to members of the WBA.
When Cinaed Tawse went on the run for kidnapping Robin Adani, the original Black Chimaera pub was raided by the Ministry. It still lays vacant in Knockturn Alley.

The New Black Chimaera
Once Cinaed had settled in to a life on the run, the new Black Chimaera secretly reopened in February 2010.
While the Ministry continues to keep a careful eye on the old, stone-faced pub at the end of Knockturn Alley, The Black Chimaera is experiencing a renaissance in its new secret location. Those sympathetic to the wizarding criminal underworld are welcome to come enjoy high quality ales, whiskeys and drinks as well as like-minded company. Those needing a discrete place to rest their head for a while are also welcome to take a room at the inn. Free from the eyes of Level 2, it's also an ideal place for anti-Ministry plotting and conspiring.
The main room of the new subterranean pub is nestled between the roots of a large, old-growth oak. Several smaller meeting and 'multi-purpose' rooms branch off from the main pub, stretching out into the root systems of neighboring trees. The inn and Cináed Tawse's new primary residence are in a rugged, wooden cabin built into the oak's canopy.
The Black Chimaera's residents and guests reach the underground pub by way of a portkey found deep in the cellar of The Black Widow. Knowledge of this portkey is spread by word of mouth and only those who gain the trust of Nicola Randall are able to utilize the portkey. Most new potential clients are expected to answer a few basic questions, under the influence of a short-acting truth serum, to ensure their loyalty to the pub, its tenants or the Wizarding Blood Alliance.
