Retired herbologist and father to Edwin Glass, Minister for Magic, Rachel Glass and Emma Glass.
Married Joan Still, a muggle. Joan was aware of her husband's magic. They married out of love, having grown up in the same Cambridge street, and always taking a shine to him.
Arnold spent his life a keen herbologist, working to cultivate ingredients. He was never attracted to working alone or for himself, not fussed on taking on responsibilities of running a business, he was happy to work for a company a couple of hundred years old and keep to his routine. When he retired the couple relocated to Giggleswick, North Yorkshire.
Arnold, in his late eighties, is now the deputy chair of the local gobstones club.
