Amelia Kalice Lloyd, phD, is one of the world's most esteemed historians and archaeologist. She currently holds the position of President of the International Foundation of Magical Archaeology, Chairwoman of The European Society of Historians and Archaeologists and works as a freelance Professor for Archaeology.
Alongside her longtime partner Patrick Lenorment, himself a well-known historian and Head Curator at the French National Museum of Wizarding Art, she has been living in Paris's 2nd Arondissment since 1982. Patrick Lenorment is a Muggleborn Wizard, making their daughter Sophia Noelle half-blood (contrary to Fiona and Daniel, who are purebloods).
Amelia is an unsocial, strict, humourless woman. Her career is most important to her, even more than her own children, a trait she has passed onto her oldest daughter, Fiona. She is generally described as distant, cold and unfriendly, making it hard for friends to establish themselves. No one can understand how any man has ever even considered touching, letting alone marrying and having children with her. And yet, it happened twice, with Patrick staying at her side for 31 years now. Amelia just really, really does not like people.
