Alexander Snark is a recently graduated Slytherin alumni who was a member of the Hogwarts Mafia and briefly the Slytherin Quidditch captain. He has suffered a lot of loss in his life, with his father abandoning him at a young age and his grandparents death (particularly his maternal grandfather). Events during his final year at Hogwarts (2008-2009) only served to exacerbate this feeling of abandonment. His uncle Gavin Snark (Who was raised essentially as his brother) ran off to Italy with his girlfriend Nicola Hames, his best mate Devlin Matthews was arrested, expelled and sent to Azkaban after getting caught smuggling runespoor and his mother, Analiza Snark disappeared without a trace during a trip to Egypt. He has since faded into obscurity, all but forgetting his claims that he will be the next great wrockstar or quidditch pro.
Currently
Up until recently, Alex had been living in Italy with Gavin and Nicola. When Auggie and Arielle moved out of the Snark home, Alex returned to keep up the estate, despite the general consensus that Analiza is lost forever. In September 2010, Devlin Matthews was released from Azkaban and Alex, who had been keeping in touch with him, offered Dev, his fiance Maeve Whitman, little sister Lucy Matthews and his twin babies Kerry and Knox, a place to live since he discovered he couldn't stand to live alone. Since he is living off of his families wealth, Alex has become quite lazy and depressed, so when Dev and Maeve moved in, he was tricked into becoming a nanny of sorts for the babies so that Maeve could work and Dev could study. Contrary to how he acts about it, Alex actually quite enjoys the task and strives to be a good godfather since he never had siblings or knew his own father.
