The Hogwarts Board of School Governors announced today the unanimous decision to make permanent the interim appointment of Herschel Reid as Hogwarts Headmaster.  Headmaster Reid resumes a Hogwarts tradition of very old wizards with peculiar habits holding the post, continuing on in the steps of Albus Dumbledore, Armando Dippet, Phineas Nigellus Black, and Newton Scamander. 

"Peculiar? Certainly, but he's a very reliable man," said the current chair of the Governors, Persepolis Zephyr.  "And what's perhaps more relevant: he isn't currently missing.  We would have welcomed Madam Snark's return, however the portents look very bad for that, indeed.  We considered holding her post with a portrait in the interim, but with the Tournament happening this year it was important we have a real life human being at the helm."

Hogwarts seems to be getting their ducks in a row now, and not a moment too soon.  Experts say that the Governors have delayed until the very last moment, holding out for any news concerning the missing Analiza Snark who was last heard of on a school trip to Egypt this July.

"We very much hope she's not dead," said Persepolis Zephyr.

Another staff appointment of note is Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor Ignan Storm who will be acting as Headmaster Reid's deputy.  Storm, unlike perhaps any of his predecessors, did not sit for the Sorting Hat, but instead is an alumni of Durmstrang Institute. 

"Please try not to be frightened of Professor Storm," said another governor.  "We know it's difficult."
