Ollie chuckled and shook her head as she thought about Fig again and the lovely display of trust and what it could get you. "Though you have to admit it was sort of funny to watch Fig get hit by someone so small. Granted I didn't actually see it but the after math was sort of amusing." Ollie chuckled again remembering the fact that Sophie had taken some of the same drink resulting some truths slipping out. "I dodged a hex with that one, in not drinking and unlabelled drink." She chuckled.

Ollie enjoyed sitting here with the two sisters and they weren't arguing. It was nice to see the family dynamic in action as they just sat in the kitchen and watched Sophie cook. She did find it somewhat amusing to watched as Sophie stood on her tip toes to get a look into the pot. "Want me to watch the pot?" Ollie offered as she knew she stood to be much taller than Sophie. Granted though Ollie had the opinion that she was probably done growing while Sophie still had more to do.

Nodding her head in agreement to the discussion of the events in Hogsmeade. It really had been exciting. Ollie had never told Sophie of the fact she had slipped off and had some fun with Deus but what Sophie didn't know wouldn't hurt her. She had not mentioned the fact she had smoked something, perhaps she should ask Deus what the heck that was. "I met a half-giant, she is actually rather brilliant." Ollie piped up with her addition of information.

"Oh yes, that was probably the highlight of my summer Sophie." The conversation with Zephyr had given her some hope. "I think I should be hearing back in the next couple of days actually, or at least I hope I will." Ollie was just hoping for good news. The idea of leaving Sophie was rather heartbreaking.

"So you and Sellaphix are on speaking terms again? I don't know if I should be relieved or worried," Ruby sounded mostly amused by the idea. He was a good sort of practice boyfriend for Sophie. It had been like unstoppable force meet unstoppable force, but it also wasn't so very serious that it would damage Sophie's faith in love forever. Of course what Ruby knew about love and romance could fit on the head of a pin. She had spent so much time making sure Sophie's heart didn't get broken (and failing so miserably because her sister had horrible taste in boys) that she hadn't ever really had her own broken. Ruby had always sort of felt she was too well adjusted to be boy crazy. Also, possibly, she might have been a little in love with Kale - but not enough for it to count.

"Half-giant, really? That sounds brilliant, was she cute" Ruby wiggled her eyebrows at the younger girl. She wasn't totally sure what Ollie's stance was anymore (there had been the Fauna and Devlin thing), Ruby was sort of the same. She had been terribly infatuated (but not really in love) with Lou, and then this summer there had been people but it wasn't gender specific. Resting her chin in her hand she grinned at Sophie, "What about you, since we're obviously over Figaro, and I'm assuming you've heard as much from Chance as I have, did you find a French boy to tickle your fancy? Or maybe you're more of the strong stoic type, I could see that," it felt strange to be sitting there just teasing Sophie again, and a part of her brain worried that she was crossing an invisible line but the littlest Flickwick hadn't reacted yet.

"So it was a pretty serious meeting with Zephyr then," it wasn't so much a question as a reiteration of facts. She hadn't spoken to Fauna since the Hufflepuff had opted not to get a flat with her, for whatever reason, because she never bothered to tell Ruby, she had just found out because word traveled fast around Hogwarts. She also hadn't spoken to the twins, Grace, or Brett since she left either. There was a deep seeded wound there, her own feeling of being abandoned because they had just decided  and Fauna gave her no warning or acknowledgement. Ruby bit her bottom lip looking between the girls, trying not to sound defeatist but also being realistic, "You think she'll be able to change Snark's mind"?

Sophie looked at her older sister like she had grown another head. Of course why would she know anything that had been going on in the UK? Sophie was fairly sure her muggle grandparents didn't exactly have a current subscription to The Daily Prophet. "Snark's gone missing. Has been since June. They named the new Headmaster in today's paper, Herschel Reid. Well, really, I suppose they announced he was officially the headmaster today. He's been her interim-seat-warmer since she vanished," she threw a look to Ollie and scoffed slightly, "I will have you know that I am perfectly capable of stirring...as soon as I find my stool," this was punctuated with a protuding tongue and fpppppt noise (made far from the open pot before her).

She went rummaging then, under the kitchen counter. There was a little step ladder that she had been using since she was four or five - reaching things had never been particularly easy for the pint sized Gryffindor. As she searched she continued to talk (excellent multitasker) "I'm a bit more worried about Storm being made his Deputy, I mean I'd be worried about it anyway because Professor Storm is terrifying, but with Durmstrang here how can we really know where his loyalty lies? He's only taught at Hogwarts for a year. What if he's a spy? He would easily know our strongest competitors, and our weakest," she couldn't help but think of the lackadaisical Sellaphix, "we could be headed straight for a trap. I can't believe the Governers didn't even consider it".

Finally she found the stepstool and plopped it down in front of the stove, "I will have both of you also note, it is not the stove I have issue with. It is this stew pot. It's twice as high as it probably needs to be for three people, but you know... left overs," she wrinkled her nose as she took a step up to actually get a proper look inside. All was well, but she kept fussing over the pot anyway. "Anyway, I don't know what Mister Reid's stance on things is. He might be related to Professor Reid, which might not work in our favor... but then again, I like to think I'm nothing like my family so maybe he isn't like his either. Madame Zephyr, while admittedly a politician and probably a fair actress, seemed really moved by Ollie's story. That's more than we've had in a year at least. It's a start". Sophie was determined to be positive.

Ollie chuckled as Ruby mentioned not being sure whether to be worried or relieved that Fig and Sophie were on speaking terms again. Ollie wanted to place her money on worried as being the correct answer, but then again the two had been civil after the whole Spellpunk ordeal. Of nobody really wanted to dwell on that night, it had been dramatic and not exactly the best evening of the summer.

"Taryn, I dunno I guess she is cute." She paused and shook her head, "Blonde never really been my type." Ollie shrugged her shoulders. "Though she makes for a brilliant friend in the making I think." Ollie said with a smile. As Ruby started mentioning French boys to Sophie Ollie thought back to a few of the French girls she had seen at Hogsmeade. Boy, they were fun to watch walking. Before she had run into Deus and separated from Fig and Taryn she had spent a little time observing the fluidity of the Beauxbaton girls. They really were gorgeous. Something about them was appealing, she had even heard one of them speak and it was like music to Ollie's ears. Of course the girl in question had disappeared without her actually getting a chance to meet the brunette.

At mere mention of Snark, Ollie felt her nose wrinkle as if there was a bad smell. That woman was not high on her list of people she liked. Though she was sort of sad that she had gone missing, she definitely did not deserve that. Okay, maybe she did deserve it Ollie really did not know her situation or private affairs. Ollie couldn't exactly get in on the discussion as she did know Headmaster Reid or for that matter this other Deputy. "I dunno if it is a trap," she sighed as Sophie talked of her theory, "but then I don't know him." She said sounding almost bitter since he had arrived last year when she was not allowed to attend school. "But I guess we'll just have to wait and see won't we." Of course she really was hoping that the we did include her at Hogwarts and not at a distance living vicariously through Sophie's letters.

"Zephyr did sound promising, but I guess it really is just a wait and see." Ollie was hoping to come out on the better end of this wait and see. "I got my fingers crossed." She paused and went back to Sophie's previous comment she had glossed over. "Oh sure blame the pot." She rolled her eyes and then flashed a cheeky smile at her best friend.
