Physical Description: Alix appears to be older than she is. She is pretty tall for her age and rather skinny.  Right now she wears her hair quite long and her natural hair color is a light brunette. Her eye color  is a bright blue and sometimes can appear to look a little intimidating. She has a very special way to walk which gives a snappy touch to her character because she usually keeps her head held high in order to soak up her surroundings like a sponge. When she does not wear her school robes, one would find her style a bit awkward - her mother equipped her with all sorts of preppy girl's clothes which puts even more emphasis on her "older look", kind of like a little girl that is put in a business suit. Now that Alix joins Hogwarts, she will start to change this style that had been forced upon her and add little girlish accessories to it, not button the blouse all the way to the top, not properly bind her shoe laces and especially not use hot air charms to iron out the wrinkles in her clothes which might lead to the impression of her not caring for her look at all, which however, is not true. It will take a few years for Alix to find and change to her very own style.

Personality Description: Alix is a very strong person. She had always been, maybe due to the fact that she has no siblings. She speaks her mind freely and often has to suffer the consequences of acting before thinking. She is not good with apologies and it needs a lot of patience from her counterpart to get to the point where she admits openly that she had been mistaken. It is not that she does not see her own flaws and faults but more that she does not like to talk them over. She thinks, whenever she realizes for herself, that, let's say her plan was stupid, it does not need much dwelling on why it had been stupid. She expects from her surroundings to not point out her weaknesses but rather elaborate on her strengths.

Despite all this, she is very realistic and does not usually dwell on dreams. She gets active instead. Her mother and the situation she had put herself into showed Alix to always take care for herself. She is also very nosy and tends to invade on other's personal space a little too fiercely sometimes. Alix needs goals and encouragement as well as she needs to be challenged. She is very intelligent but at the same time, she always seeks the easy way with the least effort to get were she wants to go. She has the strong urge to express herself and wants to be noticed and looked up to by others. She is loyal with her friends, though one has to say that her character still needs development to experience true friendship. Right now she always comes first but if she finds people who strive for the same thing, her own egoism might get overshadowed by the cause. She can also be very pushy and when she wants something, she usually goes on until she gets it. Alix likes to laugh. She is a very humorous person, though she does not make a difference between making jokes along with others and making jokes about others. She is fascinated by the unknown, which will show a strong affection to dark magic when she becomes a little older. Besides all these harsh character traits, she will learn how to treat others fair and become more aware of the power of her own words. One could say she resembles the element of fire. If you add fuel to it, it can be destructive as hell. If you add wood, it can just be warm and cozy.

Her favorite Hobbies are playing Guitar, saxophone, piano and drums. Despite she is a very musical person, she cannot sing. It sounds like a bunch of mere people above the water when she does. She also plays Quidditch and Shuntbumps and even competed in the Somerset Children Winged Horse's Race at the age of 9. She also enjoys various Muggle sports like Tennis and Volleyball, but she had been banned in both teams because her opponents mysteriously got hit by either the Tennis- or the Volleyball in the face too many times because the speed the balls would impact where so high that the muggle team captain suspected Alix to be doped.

At the point of entering Hogwarts, Alix is deeply torn between not wanting to use magic and the temptation of the strong magical surroundings she will be put into.

History: The Battle of Hogwarts was fought only a few months prior to Alix' birth, though her parents Adrian and Oksana did not stay in Great Britain during that time. Adrian Bonham is a well-known musician in the Muggle world and was on tour with his band "Soundbound" during that time, accompanied by his wife who was very advanced in pregnancy at that time but did not dare to stay in Britain due to what was going on in the magical world. Alix was born in an Airplane from NCY to Toronto on a cold December evening (Adrian usually preferred Muggle transportation when it came to the band, because none if his fellow musicians knew about the magical qualities his wife had).
After Alix' birth, Oksana dropped her position as an Ambassador because her job involved a lot of traveling between Russia and England and due to her husband already having to face a lot of traveling due to his career, she decided it would be best to stay in England and resume work when Alix would be old enough to attend Hogwarts. Until then, Oksana took great care of the magical education of her young daughter and let her attend primary school along with many many private lessons on basic potions, charms, transfigurations, runes, and so on, taught by Agatha, a good friend of her (or one of the most intelligent witches on earth, as Oksana would say). Oksana would have preferred for her daughter to become acquainted with the Russian language, though Alix, for some reason seemed to make no effort whatsoever in learning it. Instead, she seemed to be much more interested in learning to play ever instrument she could put her hands on and accompany her father as much as time would let her. Oksana was always the strict one. She wanted her daughter to always dress up, have proper table manners and taught her the basic magical spell-work suitable for her age. She encouraged her daughter to participate in both magical and muggle sports and be active and social. Alix had a lot of classmates that she got along with fine, though she never brought any of them home.
Oksana is a very career oriented woman and giving birth to Alix, though she was a wanted child, meant, giving up her shiny career which left Oksana as a very grim person, who tried to force everything she had left behind for her daughter upon Alix now. Oksana faced several depressions and usual began drinking excessively whenever her husband went on tour, because that was a constant reminder that he was the one working and she was not.

Due to the fact that Alix is the only child, and Oksana had no other "work" than her daughter now, she tended to stretch the limits every now and then, which led to the fact that Alix got used to always receive what she wanted. By the age of 6, Alix had her own rehearsal room with 8 different types of guitars, 3 various drum sets, an accordion which she did not like that much though, a piano, a trumpet and two saxophones. Oksana instead on Alix taking singing lessons despite her desperate attempts to drop them (once, Alix tried to charm herself sick which led to the devastating fact that she lost her entire voice for 14 days and was, of course, in a bad mood as a result). No matter how hard Alix tried to argue with her mother though, she would never succeed the argument. With Adrian, things were different. He is a very soft person and strangely, whenever Alix spends time with him, she is much less demanding. All she seeks for then is a little proudness in his eyes whenever she plays a new song for him on one of her guitars.

Oksana never gave up on forcing things upon Alix (After all her daughter should be able to earn her own livings later on) and the only time she did not have to endure the 'loving force' of her mother was whenever she was too drunk for it or when her father went on tour again and allowed her to join him. At the age of 10, Alix travelled along with the band with muggle transportation (she was also used to magical transportation, because Oksana was very accurate about the monthly visits of Alix' grandparents in Russia which would usually work with a Portkey) for a few months and after they both returned, Adrian found Oksana completely drunk and full of drugs in the living room. He told her, that if she would not start a therapy, he would not be able to stay with her. For one year, Adrian tried to help Oksana get back on her feet. He hired Agatha full-time to take care of Alix, because Oksana was only able to do so when she was not drunk. Oksana never made it. She had good months, where she would not touch any drugs and alcohol at all and then she had bad months in which she would just lock herself into her private room and not come out until she was sober again…which sometimes took days.

Oksana never went into therapy. She said she found these muggle ways of treatments ridiculous.

As Alix turned 11, the Bonhams began to have financial problems because Adrian had not been working for the last year. When Alix received her letter from Hogwarts, Adrian decided to start working again and move out because he could no longer endure the situation with Oksana and found himself totally lost when it came to working with the band. Alix was devastated and out of her mind. She pledged her father to stay or at least take her with him, but he would only smile at her - this lost and warm smile - and tell her, that she was better of with Agatha and Oksana because he would never be able to help her advance her magical education the way they would. He told her that he would not leave her and that he would check on her as much as he could, but that she needed to understand that he would have to work in order to finance her school and the house.

It was then, that Alix stopped doing magic at all.  When Alix received her letter, she first decided to not go at all. She wanted to go to a regular muggle school - she wanted to become like her father. But no matter how drunk Oksana was, she told Alix that there was no debating about it. She had to go to Hogwarts. And the only good thing about it, in Alix' view was, that she would be away from her mother.

How Do You Fit Into Your House?: Alix would have a strong tendency to go to Slytherin, though she should be best put into Griffindor because for one thing, the element of fire resembles her best. She is a very brave person, though at this point, she will most likely only speak up for herself. Within the years, she will do the same for others. She has a lot of courage and is very strong and daring. Her affection for the dark arts is likely to be subdued by Griffindor, which would help her to find her own limits and figure out right from wrong.

Writing Sample: RP Sample: (Power-played NPC Oksana Bonham, mother of Alix Bonham & Agatha, friend of Oksana)

"Mother, you bore me.", Alix said as she walked into the study room, eying the book that was placed neatly on the shiny-polished wooden table in the middle of it.

Oksana Utley pursed her lips and appointed her daughter to sit down, as she softly turned the silver key which was dangling from her neck on a white-gold plain necklace between her long bony fingers. It was the key to the mahogany house bar in the dining room.

"Let's get this over with Alix! The sooner you start, the quicker you're out." Oksana began straightening the collar of the little girl's blues while she passed the back of the chair and sat herself down in the one next to her daughter.
Alix rolled her eyes. She hated it when her mother did that. She hated to feel her cold long bony fingers touching her neck. It always gave her the creeps. There was no warm touch to it at all. No mother- daughter connection whatsoever. Her mother was so cold. So cold that Alix was used to it by now and did not even expect anything else.
She turned to face the darting blue eyes to her right now - those that resembled her own so well.

"I hate Russia.", she simply said. "It is so cold.", and while she said it, she did not break eye contact with Oksana, not one second.

But Oksana just smiled. A sweet, girlish smile that showed hints of wrinkles right at the corner of her eyes. Even through all the make up they were visible like tiny lines that pushed itself through a lot of sand.  Oksana bowed her head to the side a little and her bony fingers combed through her long blonde hair now, her gaze still on her daughter.

"Я люблю тебя, милый" (I love you, Darling), she said. "Too bad you don't understand me."

Then she stood up and walked out of the room, her hands touching the key around her neck. As she had left the room, Alix heard her calling for Agatha.

Alix knew that this meant she did not get around her russian lesson. She knew Agatha would force her to at least memorize 20 new vocabularies today.

Her gaze went outside the huge floor-deep window to her right. Snow was still covering the garden's hedges and grassy ground. It was cold outside. Lately it seemed to be cold everywhere, she thought.

"Kind of like the cold swaps over from Russia", she muttered.

"What did you say, Alix?", smiling Agatha came into the room accompanied by two cups of steaming hot tea and placed one in front of the little girl.

Alix put her hands around the hot mug and inhaled the sweet scent of the herbs floating out of it. It was her favorite cup - the one with the Holyhead Harpies Quidditch team on it, all smiling and greeting as soon as one poured hot liquid inside.

"I just wondered if you had some sirup, Agatha.", Alix replied. And Agatha just smiled.

Sum up your character in one paragraph: Alix is driven by the fact that her father left her and she blames her mother and to some degrees the magical world for this. She will seek a way to revenge that her mother wasn't able to hold her father, as well as she is driven by the secret search of some treatment that would help her mother out of her misery.  Alix has a hard side and a soft side to her. She can be both forceful and calm. It all depends on whom she will meet in the future.
