Full Character Name: Chloe Rosier
Character Birthday & Age: December 7th, 1994 - 15
City & Country of Birth: Bolton, England
Pureblood, Halfblood or Muggleborn: Pureblood
House & Year: Slytherin House, 4th Year
Wand: 9 1/4 inches, Elm Wood, Demiguise Hair Core. Pliable with a Spiraled Shaft. Her wand was custom made by a french wand-maker who had made her mothers when she was young, and Chloe holds it in high regards, as it has never failed her.
Physical Description: Chloe stands at an average height among her peers with an attractive, lightly toned build. Her skin is pure and pale, surprisingly untouched by blemishes. She has dark hair that sweeps just past her shoulders in a wavy, bang-less cut that makes her look almost exotic -- at least, that's the look she was going for when she chose on a haircut for the school year. Chloe has close-set hazel eyes, an oval shaped face, full lips, and a slightly upturned nose.
Personality Description: Chloe keeps to herself, more often than not, not because she prefers to be alone, but finds that she has trouble expressing herself to others. From the strict upbringing and old ways of thinking her parents taught her, she finds it hard not to judge other people for the way they live their life or act. Only since attending Hogwarts has she started appreciating the variety of people in the world, but still, Chloe hangs on to the pure-blood idealism her family has known for generations. Understanding that times are changing and people are becoming more accepting of one another, Chloe is caught between the life she's been raised in and the world she sees now. She has tried to extend her social group to outside the members of Slytherin house, but is often turned away because of her family's reputation of using the Dark Arts.
Chloe sees very little value in being artistic, but that is mostly because she lacks artistic talent herself. Secretly, she envies those who can let their feelings manifest in physical ways. She has a tendency to 'bottle-up' her thoughts, since usually when she says what she's thinking it turns out to be obnoxious or rude. Chloe is a self-motivator, doing what she feels is right even if it goes against the grain. This often conflicts with her upbringing, so most of what she does while attending Hogwarts is kept secret from her parents, such as the people she speaks to, the classes she takes, the parties she attends... After all, what they don't know won't hurt them.
Often seen as overly aggressive towards other people, Chloe can be just as caring as she is callous. The reason why she only has casual friends as opposed to close ones is not by choice, but because people don't often know where exactly they stand with her. One minute, she may tell a person that they're rubbish at a type of magic, and in the next compliment them on something else entirely.
As most young teenage girls, Chloe has a strong sense of adventure. She hopes one day to travel the world, but until then is fine with sneaking out of the dorms at night, whether that be with a group or by herself. Unfortunately, she is a bit danger-prone, so even when she isn't caught sneaking around often ends up in bad situations.
History: Chloe Rosier was born to Charles Rosier and Marianna Rosier (nee Lestrange, daughter of Rabastan Lestrange whom is the brother-in-law of Bellatrix Lestrange), two proud pure-blooded wizards who can trace their family line back for generations. The Rosier Family was full of strong supporters of Voldemort during the First Wizarding War, and even after his fall during the Second Wizarding War, many that were still alive remained devoted to his cause. They are known to practice the Dark Arts, as well as the majority (if not all) from the family having attended Hogwarts and been sorted into Slytherin House. Chloe has always been rather proud of her heritage, even if she doesn't truly consider the importance of blood in the same way her parents do.
Growing up, Chloe was the only child of the couple, as they were a bit older when they had her, so she was the center of attention for her parents. Her family lived in a large mansion, as did most pureblooded wizarding families, and despite all of the luxuries in her life, Chloe had always felt terribly alone. She had numerous imaginary friends until late in her childhood, and quite a wild imagination, though it always seemed to frustrate her more than anything. It was as if, no matter how she tried, Chloe couldn't represent her thoughts in words or art; nothing was fluid enough to capture her feelings.
As expected, Chloe received her letter from Hogwarts on her 11th birthday, and her first few years of school flew by smoothly. She was particularly talented in Charms and Transfiguration, while maintaining average grades in the rest of her courses.

How Do You Fit Into Your House?: Aside from the fact that it tends to run in the Rosier blood, Chloe was sorted into the Slytherin house because of a natural cunning and wit she possesses. Even with her difficulty expressing her own ideas, her will is strong. To be fair, had she not been pre-disposed as a Slytherin due to her family, Chloe would have made a fine Gryffindor.
Writing Sample: (An entrance post from an old roleplay)
Lalaith approached the long, elaborately decorated banquet table in the royal dining, her stride a perfected display of confidence and royalty. Her brother sat at the end of the table, surrounded by laughing nobles, desperate for favor so that they might have a chance of throwing their daughters in his direction. "Dinlith," Lalaith called in a musical voice, the smear of a smirk on her face unhidden. The ruler looked up from his comrades, standing and raising an open palm to the new arrival. "Hail, sister!" He called in his unusually jolly tone, stepping around nobles to reach and greet her.
Lalaith had been away, dealing with affairs on a neighboring continent and searching for a relic that was rumored to bring eternal bliss and immortality to whomever found it. It was more an excuse to travel than an actual quest, but it had proved quite a worthy distraction for the second eldest. She had been gone for about six months, and weeks before her arrival, their father had died, and Dinlith had been appointed heir to the throne.
"How faired your search?" Dinlith asked, approaching Lalaith to embrace her. She received the hug unmoving, which did not surprise, as such was his sisters nature. She was often colder or more hostile than he was, and though some in the kingdom found these traits to be unfavorable, he loved his sister for who she was, even if they were so different.
With a slight sneer, Lalaith reached a slender hand into her traveling coat. "I found what I was looking for, yet it was not the Relic."
"Oh?" Inquired Dinlith, watching with intense curiosity. Suddenly, from the hallway outside, screams of anger and cries of pain flooded into the banquet, causing a jump and stir in the audience. "What is going on?" roared Dinlith, motioning at his guards to investigate. As they neared the exit, however, the doors burst open, and two figures strode in - one, a tall, wicked elf who was known as the head of Lalaith's royal guard, sword drawn and bloodied, and a human child, who looked no older than 10, carrying a small ball of black fire in his open palm.
"Vengeance, brother." Dinlith turned to his sister, a look of confusion and disbelief in his eyes as she withdrew her hand, and, with a single flash of silver, sunk a blade deep into his chest. As the king fell to the floor, so did all order in the castle. Servants and nobles alike ran frantically to escape the slaughter as Lalaith continued her saunter towards the seat her brother had resided at. Guards with black crosses burnt onto their armor flooded into the dining room, slashing at every person they knew not to be in Lalaith's allegiance, and sparing only those who begged for their lives.
Throwing her legs onto the table and kicking off whatever food or drink that had resided there in a careless motion, Lalaith watched as the world around her was consumed by the chaos of her betrayal. The two men from before approached her, the child taking a seat on her left and the former knight kneeling before her, planting a gentle kiss on her palm. "My lady?" He spoke in a mocking tone, sneering up at her.
"More than your lady," Lalaith replied with a laugh in her voice as he stood, taking the seat at her right. "Your Queen."
Sum up your character in one paragraph: Chloe is a brash, unforgiving girl who, oddly, has the best intentions. The ultimate example of Nature versus Nurture, she has a tendency to disobey the narrow-minded self-serving way of life that her parents taught her, even though it has become somewhat of a second nature to give in to it.
