Lexi noticed Alice was reluctantly getting into the car; great, Lexi thought, she's totally going to freak out on me. Lexi slumped into her seat and watched Alice take a deep breath and get in the car. They drove to the camp ground and got out of the car, "Be careful you two, Lexi don't hurt your cousin. And call me if you need me ok?" Lexi's mom drove away after saying good bye to the two girls.

Alice was standing there with her bag, she obviously didn't want to move from the spot. "Oh get a bloody grip Alice," Lexi said grabbing her hand and pulling her onto the trail. They hiked for a few minutes and came into a clearing where Lexi threw her bags down and picked up the bag that had the tent. "Are you going to stand there all day, or are you going to help me with the tent?"

Alice stood there, trying to render a smart idea of tents, however, none came to her. "How do I put up a tent?" She set her bag down carefully, and went to attempt to help.

Thankfully Lexi had the sense to borrow her mom's old tent, the one you didn't need to spend loads of time setting up. "Alice, just stay there and watch." Lexi went about setting it up and, upon finishing, dissapeared inside. She poked her head out, "It's wicked in here, you have to come look!" Lexi said grabbing her bags and heading back inside.

Alice picked up both bags and stepped inside. It was wonderful. The tent was just the right size and seemed just like a house. It had a little sitting area conneced to a kitchen, then two bedrooms and a loo. She stood there mesmerized.

"I figured we should bring this one because you have issues with the woods and obviously there was no way you would go to the loo outside. It just wasn't going to happen." Lexi plunked her bag on her bed and headed into the small kitchen area. "Hungry yet?" She said pulling a frilly, deep blue apron out from the cabinet and tossing Alice a soft, pink one. "Might as well start cooking now right?"

Alice smiled. She loved to cook, and was estatic to actually approach a stove! Her mother never let her near one.

"What is on the menu tonight, Chef Lexi?"

"Since we probably shouldn't burn the tent down on the first night, and I think we can boil water fairly well... pasta and alfredo sauce. I'll do the noodles and you make your fancy sauce, oui?" Lexi said ending with a slight french accent and a twirl of her hand. She grabbed the pots and ingredients, then set up her pot with water and turned the heat on. She gestured and said, "Alice, you're welcome to start playing with knives anytime now!" Lexi said with a huge smile on her face.

Alice erupted in laughter, and soon got started on her sauce, enjoying each time she got to use the knives. She soon was ready for the pasta, humming a tune in her head.

Lexi strained the pasta and dumped the noodles into Alice's sauce. She grabbed two plates and forks and set the table. Then she served each of them and set the pot onto the stove, making sure the flame was off. She sat down, "ready to eat?" She asked Alice.

"I am! Let's eat!" she dove in and loved every minute. She liked the individuality she got with Lexi. It was fun.

"So, whats the game plan for tomorrow?

"Umm, hiking, swimming, setting things on fire, hiking, swimming, eating... the list goes on." Lexi said with a devious grin. She stood up to start cleaning the table. With Alice's help, she got everything cleaned and put away in half an hour. She ran to grab her PJ's and quickly changed, "Let's go outside Alice, we can see the stars soon!"

"Pause. LIGHTING THINGS ON FIRE? LEXI!!!" She just smiled as she headed out of the tent to watch the stars.

"I was joking Alice, calm down. You get so riled up."Lexi sat down on the ground after spreading a blanket out. She lay down and motioned for Alice to join her. It was a quarter to eight already, thanks to the long dinner, and the stars were out. Lexi pointed, "Ooh, Alice look! Full moon tonight, hope you're not scared." Lexi joked and gave a fake howl after.

A few minutes later they heard another howl in the distance, repeatadly howling, and getting closer to the girls. "Alice that's not funny, please tell me that was you." Lexi said, the fear creeping into her voice.

Alice lost the small color she had in her face. "N-No, I thought that was you. W-We just have to be quiet. Maybe we can sneak away," She began to shake wildly, as she looked at Lexi.

Lexi stood up as she heard a branch behind her snap and the sound of a wolf snarling. She turned around and almost screamed, right at the edge of the clearing was a wolf. Not just any wolf, a werewolf. It stood on it's hind legs and howled at the moon. Lexi sucked in a deep breath. Her heart was pounding in her chest and she felt like she couldn't breathe.

She realized Alice was closer to the wolf than she was and was the obvious target. She took a step forward defensively as the werewolf crouched down and snarled. It lunged at Alice and Lexi threw herself in front, creating a human sheild. Lexi took the full impact of the werewolfs jaw in her left shoulder. The teeth tore through skin and muscle, leaving a gaping wound behind. She screamed in pain as she felt the hot rush of blood soak her shirt.

The wolf reared back, getting ready to attack again, when they could hear more howling in the distance. The werewolf howled back and bound off in the direction of the replies. Lexi lay on the ground, gasping for air and dizzy. She felt the pain rip through her like a knife, cutting every nerve she had. Her eyes fluttered close as Alice's mom apparated into the clearing. The last thing Lexi heard was a scream, and then everything went black as her body went limp on the hard ground.
