Corey was indeed transfixed, as he tended to be with many young ladies...and women in general. His travels had opened his eyes to a diverse spectrum of them and he had found that they were a subject of great interest to him. He enjoyed their company and also enjoyed experiencing new aspects about them from what he knew before.
Waverley was indeed an interesting specimen and he wanted to know more about her. Clearly he had underestimated the Tournament's means of allowing him to expand his knowledge in this regard. Would all Hogwarts girls like this one? And what of the Salem and Durmstrang ones? Oh the fun to be had!
Corey followed his new acquaintance to the cashier, only half realizing or caring that he had not picked out anything to buy.
After she paid, Corey fell into step beside her and flashed an easy going smile. "It was nice to meet you, Miss Waverley. Already I look forward to the Tournament starting so we can see each other again." He paused and cocked his head slightly to the side. "Peut-etre....maybe....we will being classes together. Until then...."
Corey knew that what he did next could be a calculated risk because of their different customs. But he felt it would make it so she would not forget him. As he stepped around her, his back momentarily to the door, he leaned down to give her a peck on the cheek. Just as quickly he pulled back, and before she could react to his bold gesture, he waggled his eyebrows and then scooted out the door.
