Character Birthday & Age: July 5th, age 11
City & Country of Birth: London, England
Pureblood, Halfblood or Muggleborn: Halfblood
House & Year: Slytherin, 1st year
Wand: Eleven and one-quarter inches, Blackthorn, the core of hair from the Mane of a Kelpie, Inflexible, has a decorated shaft
Physical Description: Alexandria has platinum blonde hair that is long and wavy. She normally prefers to wear her hair in a style that has two braids, one on each side, connected at the bottom by a hair tie. Her eyes are pale blue and distant. She is pale-skinned and average height. When wearing muggle clothes she likes to wear loose fitting t-shirts and dark jeans.
Personality Description: Even though she seems to have a bit of mean streak to any that even considers arguing with her, she can also be very kind and gentle. Her mean streak hardly ever comes out when she isn't in some sort of argument. The girl gets in arguments quite easily, especially when defending her family. Though she doesn't get along extremely well with her father she still cares for him. Alexandria is very careless to her own well being and often has no regard to her safety. She would walk right out into the forbidden forest if someone simply dared her to. She never turns down a dare. She is very smart, and often hears her cousin's remarks about her being put in the wrong house. Even though she is intelligent, she lacks greatly in common sense. Her intelligence is mainly book smarts. Alexandra has a bit of a temper and will get angered easily if anyone bothers anyone of her friends or family. If it herself that gets teased and picked on she just takes it and remains silent.
History: Alexandria's mother died during the birth of her younger brother Corey. Her brother is now six years old, and she doesn't remember much about her mother. She remembers occasional stories that she told her about the wizarding world, but it wasn't to much her father usually cut her off and said that the child didn't need to know everything about magic and such she would find out soon enough. The girl also remembers her mother telling her about the four houses and how she was in Slytherin. Alexandria reminds her father a lot of her mother which always made it a bit difficult for him. The two were raised from then on by their muggle father who, especially after the death of his wife, has a distaste of magic.
Her father offers little to no emotional support to the two. He isn't entirely bitter towards them mostly just when it comes to magic, but Alexandria knows he's not all tough like he pretends to be. Her mother left her enough money to get school supplies and such throughout her whole time at Hogwarts, so that her father wouldn't have to deal with it. There was even enough for Corey's supplies to when he is old enough. Alexandria's only connection to the wizarding world since her mother dies was her mother's friends and sister. The friends still popped by every once in while to see how the children were getting along. Her wand was given to her by one of those friends. The man said he found it. Even her father, who knows little about wands, said it was suspicious. Though, he let Alexandria take it anyway since he decided it was better then buying one.
Alexandria was extremely glad to av received her acceptance letter over the summer. Her father didn't really respond on the matter. He just muttered something about owls and left the room. She is extremely excited to be going to Hogwarts. She is a bit unsure how she will get along there, but she hopes she can make some friends along the way. The girl is thrilled to learn more about the world in which her mother grew up in. She is eager to learn everything she can.
How Do You Fit Into Your House?: Alexandria is cunning, and somewhat ambitious. That being said, even Alexandria occasionally questions if she was placed in the right house.
Writing Sample: Note: I couldn't find one for my character, but this shows my normal posting ability even though it is non-HP.
Elizabeth Collins laid on the bed in her room flipping through a magazine. Her grandmother went to the store and left her in charge of her two younger siblings. Her sister was ten and her brother thirteen. As long as they were being quiet she didn't really pay any mind to them. Through she wouldn't be able to hear anyway with her headphones in.
After several moments of unusual peace the door swung open revealing her sister Leila. Elizabeth pulled out her earbuds and set her magazine aside. "Brian took the remote and won't give it back!" Her little sister said folding her arms and tossing her long blonde hair out of her face. "Fine." Elizabeth said with a sigh. She stood up and followed her sister out to the living room.
The eldest child didn't look much like her two younger siblings. Elizabeth had short multi-shaded hair and misty brown eyes. She wall thing and average height. Compared to her siblings who had blonde hair and bright blue eyes. Brian was sitting on the couch holding the remote changing the channels every few seconds.
Elizabeth walked over to her brother and took the remote out of his hand. She tossed it to Leila who sat down on the opposite end of the couch and changed the channel to some cartoon. "That's not fair!" The thirteen year old bellowed. "Is to." Leila said not removing her eyes from the screen. Brian reached for remote as Elizabeth stood there trying to tear the now battle over the remote. Her two siblings were screaming at each other. Elizabeth manged to get the remote and gave it back to Leila.
She grabbed Brian's arm and pulled him away from the couch. "Go to your room." Elizabeth said. "You always side with Leila. It's not fair." After a few moments of shouting back and forth, Elizabeth was tired of it. "I wish the goblins would come and take you away. Right now!"
Sum up your character in one paragraph: Alexandria is very protective of her friends. She has a tendency of blurting things out in class and often serves detention for it. She always accepts dares. Nor matter how dangerous they are. Alexandria has an interest in the dark arts, and even has potential in the subject.
